Indiana United Ways (IUW) is seeking a Financial Analyst to work on real estate capital projects for nonprofit grant recipients that improve health, education, financial stability, and welfare of individuals and communities. The Financial Analyst will assist with the Statewide Capital Projects Initiative (SCPI) by processing applications, monitoring, and reporting on grant funds allocated for real estate capital projects that aim to expand or enhance the direct delivery of essential health and human services to the community.

In this role, the Financial Analyst will collaborate with non-profit organization applicants to ensure compliance, optimize grant utilization, and improve the effectiveness of real estate project execution. The ideal candidate should have a solid background in accounting/auditing, financial analysis, and compliance with standardized processes, along with strong organizational skills and expertise in both written and oral communication, with an interest in real estate development and construction.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Auditing applications and underlying documents/financial schedules
  • Maintaining the grant database accurately and timely
  • Training and working directly with nonprofit applicants on the application process and software technology
  • Preparing application presentations and managing in-person logistics for committee meetings where applications are reviewed and approved.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or a related field with five (5) or more years of recent relevant work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • High-level understanding of financial analysis, accounting, and finance
  • Project management experience helpful

This is a full-time position with office hours (hybrid) 8 AM – 5 PM, Monday through Friday, with varying in-office requirements.
