About United Way of Northern Utah (UWNU): United Way of Northern Utah is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, serving Weber, Morgan, Box Elder, and Oneida counties. Its mission is to unite people and organizations to build a healthy, stable, and well-educated community where individuals, families, and neighborhoods thrive. Website: http://www.uwnu.org

Reports to:  Director of Education Initiatives

Direct Reports: Community Literacy Specialist

Goal: United Way of Northern Utah is seeking an Impact Manager to support and drive 3rd and 8th-grade reading and math outcomes. This position will provide leadership and coordination to create and refine processes that support students to achieve and maintain grade-level reading and math benchmarks by working closely with school partners to scale effective intervention practices through volunteers, third-party partnerships, and other means. This position will also support the development and implementation of in-school and out-of-school strategies to foster student growth in reading and math through cross-sector collaboration.

Summary of Work: The Impact Manager’s core function is to facilitate impactful partnerships that develop solutions capable of improving the lives of large numbers of students rather than focusing on a single program. Competencies in results-based accountability, project management, continuous improvement, and adaptive leadership are essential in this role. Facilitating collaborative outcomes is not for everyone. We seek a capable, energetic, results-focused team member who is comfortable with the ambiguity of the development process with partners and ready to take this work to the next level.
