United Way of the Ocoee Region – Stable Families Program

United Way of the Ocoee Region is looking for a compassionate, community-minded professional to join our team as a Family Resource Navigator. This role strengthens families across the Ocoee Region by connecting them to vital services, reducing barriers, and promoting stability through our Stable Families program. If you love helping people, building community partnerships, and solving problems with heart and creativity, we’d love to meet you.

What You’ll Do

As the Family Resource Navigator, you will:

Support Families

  • Coach and guide families as they navigate challenges related to poverty, instability, and stress.
  • Provide referrals for social services, health care, mental health support, employment, education, and financial counseling.
  • Build trust with families and help them access resources that create long-term stability.

Engage the Community

  • Represent United Way and the Stable Families program at community events.
  • Build strong relationships with local agencies, service providers, and community partners.
  • Promote resources like the 211-information line and Project Roundup.

Manage Resources & 211 Coordination

  • Keep community resource listings up to date and accurate.
  • Maintain the Resource Guide and collaborate with 211 staff.
  • Share information with agencies, partners, and the public.

Support Project Roundup (PRU)

  • Serve as the main contact for utility assistance requests.
  • Respond quickly to inquiries, collect documentation, and connect clients to support.
  • Maintain accurate client records and coordinate with internal staff to ensure timely processing and reporting.

Assist with Front Desk and Administrative Needs

  • Greet visitors, answer calls, and support office operations when needed.

Who We’re Looking For

  • Someone who is empathetic, organized, and enjoys working with people.
  • A strong communicator who can build relationships across diverse groups.
  • A detail-oriented professional who can manage documentation and keep information accurate.
  • Experience in social services, case management, or community outreach is a plus.
  • Someone who has an outgoing personality and comfortable speaking to corporate partners, clients, agencies, etc.
  • Tech-comfortable: able to use databases, email, and basic office software.
  • Bi-Lingual preferred but not required
