United Way of Hall County is a local non-profit organization whose mission is to unite people, organizations and resources to improve lives in Hall County.

Position Description: The ideal candidate will exemplify the organization’s values of being a partner, a leader, trustworthy and selfless through support of and engagement with donors, volunteers and community stakeholders. This full time position interacts with all areas of the organization to achieve the strategic goals set forth by the board of directors.

Immediate Supervisor: President

Key Responsibilities:

Annual Campaign

· Acts as primary staff resource to the Campaign Chair and Cabinet in establishing campaign goals and strategies; assists with campaign volunteer recruitment and orientation; responsible for campaign meeting schedules and agendas; coordinates account management.

· Monitor and report campaign progress through reports and analyses to track campaign progress.

· Conduct an annual evaluation of the previous year’s campaign, using past and present campaign volunteers and Board representatives, to analyze trends, develop strategies and set performance goals for the next campaign cycle.

· Assist President/CPO in identifying future campaign chairperson and assist that person with forming campaign cabinets

· Responsible for assembly and distribution of campaign materials to workplace coordinators.

· Identify new and cultivate existing corporate supporters.

· Make on-site presentations supporting employee participation in a workplace campaign.

· Plan events associated with the Annual Campaign (i.e. campaign kickoff /celebration).

· Assist President with relationship building of major donors including Tocqueville Society.

Young Leaders Society

· Manage the administrative duties associated with Young Leaders Society, including recruitment of members, providing staff support for steering committee, scheduling of events, and company and agency visits and presentations. Includes establishment and maintenance of tracking and evaluating systems, and arrange speakers, food and meeting space when necessary.

Other Responsibilities

· Manage the budget for the Resource Development department.

· Assess other potential forms of resource development including but not limited to grants, planned giving and endowment building according to strategic plan.

· Provide support to President/CPO as needed.

Marketing

· Plan and implement volunteer opportunities, special events, campaign activities and donor appreciation events.

· Oversee and produce marketing materials, campaign collateral, annual report and other advertising.

· Implement components from the marketing plan for year-round communication support.

· Serve as content manager/copywriter/graphic designer for organizational publications, including website, social media and newsletter. At times when this service is contracted out the Director of Resource Development will oversee this process.

· Provide assistance in the creation of presentations to community groups and provide audio-visual assistance when necessary.

· Represent United Way as needed in public venues such as at workplace campaigns, special events, community activities and organizations.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.

· Experience in non-profit or volunteer management desirable.

· Experience in fundraising, sales, or marketing desirable.

· Must possess valid driver’s license and have personal transportation for use during workday.

· Must be available for presentations in companies outside regular working hours.

· Computer skills including Word, Excel and Power Point

· Experience with Adobe Suite preferred but not required

Position requires flexible schedule in order to attend events that may occur in the early mornings, evenings and/or weekends. Candidate will be asked to use personal car for business and must possess valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.
