United Way Suncoast is seeking a Director, Philanthropic Initiatives.  The Director, Philanthropic Initiatives provides operational and project management for the Resource Development Team and oversees the implementation and reporting of assigned strategic initiatives and events.

 Objectives: 

  • Provides oversight and alignment of Resource Development initiatives. Ensures timely and appropriate data collection, analysis, and reporting.
  • Develops and monitors project management plans, ensuring accurate and on-time reporting. 
  • Originates, prepares, and/or edits correspondence, memos, reports, minutes, presentations, etc.
  • Establishes processes to ensure accountability for and adherence to plans by tracking key metrics and balancing long-term strategic objectives with short-term tactical goals. 
  • Develops strategies to integrate work across Resource Development and provides oversight of assigned projects and initiatives.
  • Schedules meetings and manages assigned calendars.
  • Oversees development and monitoring of assigned budget(s).
  • May train or mentor specialists, managers, interns, or volunteers.
  • Develops and refines processes to improve efficiency and achievement of goals and objectives.
  • Consistently demonstrates Our Suncoast Code and Values including applicable elements of leading self, team, and organization.

Qualifications & Skills for Success:  

  • Typically requires six (6) or more years of relevant experience including management experience. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field; equivalent training or experience may be accepted in lieu.
  • Ability to work some evening and weekend hours.
  • Ability to work and drive in the field within the Suncoast region. 
  • Bilingual or multilingual (English/Spanish/Creole) a plus.
