The Director, Global Network Advancement Team (GNAT) Operations will provide operational process and project management support GNAT and the EVP, Global Network Advancement & Operation.  Responsibilities include providing and managing daily operations including but not limited to project management, team enablement and support, communications, budget and workplan support, network group coordination, and special projects. Role will be required to plan, direct, organize, control, and improve functions for the GNAT.

This role will serve as a point of contact and liaison between the GNAT and other teams at United Way Worldwide and serve as a resource to staff in the resolution of complex issues and operational questions as they arise. 

Reporting to the EVP, Global Network Advancement, this person will partner across UWW teams and Network groups to help drive United Way Worldwide's mission to improve lives by mobilizing the caring power of communities around the world. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL DUTIES OF POSITION

The Director, GNAT Operations will:

Project manage key GNAT and Network Group projects – manage the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control, and completion of specific projects ensuring alignment with organizational strategy and goals.

Monitor other key GNAT projects.

Work closely with the EVP to ensure alignment and report on project progress.

Track and monitor operational plans and budgets for the GNAT and provide summary analysis as requested. 

Work closely with the GNAT Lead Associate to coordinate and lead GNA Team meetings and GNAT Leadership Team meetings.

Facilitate coordination between GNAT and other United Way Worldwide teams.

Work with communications team to ensure transparency and timely communication within UWW and in the Network. 

Contribute to and promote a positive and professional work environment.

Other Duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Minimum requirements include:

Bachelor’s degree or commensurate experience.

At least five years of progressive experience in a similar role. 

Must have demonstrated project management skills. Project management credentials a plus. 

Must have exceptional writing, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Must have demonstrated research skills, possess a strong work ethic, enjoy working collaboratively, and be capable of working independently.

Must have the ability to inspire and move a cross-functional team in a unified direction and with a unified vision. 

Must be comfortable working in an executive, fast-paced office.

Must have strong skills with Microsoft Suite.

SALARY STATEMENT

The budgeted lifespan salary range for this position is currently $115,000 to $125,000 per year.  Salary is determined by several factors including applicant’s knowledge, ­­­skills, experience, position, equity, and market.
