The Grand Rapids Area Coalition to End Homelessness serves as the Housing Continuum of Care for Grand Rapids, Wyoming, and Kent County. Our mission is to make homelessness rare, brief, and one-time by coordinating planning efforts, leveraging resources, and fostering collaboration among 50–60 member organizations.

ARE YOU THE HMIS ADMINISTRATOR WE ARE LOOKING FOR?
As the HMIS Administrator, you will lead the administration and analysis of the Homeless Management Information System (HMIS) for the Continuum of Care (CoC). Your work will inform strategy, improve data quality, and support community-wide efforts to end homelessness. You’ll collaborate with local agencies, provide training, and ensure compliance with HUD, State of Michigan, and CoC requirements.
What will you be doing?
- Oversee HMIS operations and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local policies.
- Analyze and report data to inform strategic decisions and improve system performance.
- Develop dashboards and visualizations to track progress and identify gaps.
- Train and support HMIS users to maintain high data quality.
- Prepare and submit required reports, including PIT, AHAR, APR, and HUD performance measures.
- Collaborate with community partners and attend relevant meetings and trainings.
SCHEDULE
This is a full-time, exempt position (37.5 hours/week) with a hybrid schedule requiring at least two in-office days per week. Flexible hours between 8:00 AM and 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Occasional evening or weekend work may be required for special projects or events.
SOME KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED FOR THE POSITION ARE
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneDrive).
- Experience with database management, data analysis, and visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI).
- Technical skills in MS Access, Excel, and SQL.
- Strong analytical, communication, and project coordination skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of housing/homeless services and nonprofit sector preferred.
Compensation and Benefits:
Salary Statement: The typical offer range for this role is from minimum to midpoint, with the midpoint representing the average pay for this in a market scope. Please note that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade for which this position belongs to. The salary offer considers a variety of factors relevant to this position, which includes knowledge, skills, and experience, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The minimum salary for this role is $46,000/annually.
