Day to day as a Community Impact Manager
As the Community Impact Manager at HWMUW, you'll engage in a variety of impactful daily tasks. You will coordinate with community partners to assess needs, develop strategic plans, and implement programs that foster desired outcomes. Regularly analyzing data and performance metrics will be key, enabling you to adjust initiatives for maximum effectiveness. You'll facilitate meetings and training workshops, while acting as a liaison between various community organizations.
Daily communication will involve reporting updates to internal teams and crafting compelling narratives to share stories. You'll also dedicate time to presenting findings to community members, leadership and our Board of Directors, and participating in outreach efforts that build awareness about community services. Each day offers opportunities to inspire change and contribute to the broader mission of building a thriving community for all!

To succeed as a Community Impact Manager at Heart of West Michigan United Way, several key skills are essential. Strong communication abilities and relationship-building skills are crucial for effectively engaging with diverse organizations, articulating the organization's mission, and advocating for community needs. You should possess excellent organizational skills for managing multiple projects simultaneously while prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines. Critical thinking and problem-solving aptitude will help you navigate and develop innovative solutions.
A collaborative spirit is vital, as building relationships with community partners is fundamental to driving impact. Additionally, data analysis skills will allow you to evaluate program effectiveness and make informed decisions. Empathy and cultural competence are necessary to understand and address the unique needs of varied populations in our community.
This position will work 7.5 hours a day between the hours of 8:00am - 5:00pm with a lunch break and IS hybrid (2 days a week in office). This position may need to work outside of normal business hours occasionally, WITH MODERATE LOCAL AND REGIONAL TRAVEL.

Salary Statement:
The typical offer range for this role is from minimum to midpoint, with the midpoint representing the average pay for this in a market scope. Please note that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade for which this position belongs to. The salary offer considers a variety of factors relevant to this position, which includes knowledge, skills, and experience, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The full salary range for this position at HWMUW is $42,753 - $64,130.
