Summary: This position plays a critical role in strengthening and sustaining philanthropic support for United Way Fox Cities by ensuring mid-level donors ($1000 to $4999) experience meaningful, personalized, and well-coordinated engagement throughout their giving journey. This position is responsible for the development and management of a comprehensive, strategic, integrated effort to build the base of mid-level donors and increase their level of support through annual giving and planned gifts.
Responsibilities:
- Identify, cultivate, steward, and grow relationships with high-capacity donors to grow mid-level and leadership-level donors through personalized engagement, strategic account plans, and multi-year giving strategies.
- Develop and manage donor portfolios, including setting goals, forecasting revenue, and tracking progress throughout the donor lifecycle.
- Build and implement a strategy to cultivate planned gifts.
- Work in collaboration with VP of Development and Associate Directors of Resource Development to identify leadership donor prospects from the workplace campaigns and create and implement engagement strategies for reaching out to those donors.
- Engage and effectively manage high-level volunteers in donor cultivation and solicitation activities.
- Maintain consistent, timely, and meaningful communication with new and existing donors to ensure a high-quality donor experience.
- Accurately record, track, and analyze donor interactions, gifts, and outcomes in the CRM system; prepare reports, projections, and revenue forecasts as required.
- Collaborate with the Marketing team to develop donor-facing communications and fundraising materials that support engagement and solicitation strategies.
- Articulate UWFC’s mission, vision, and community impact clearly and compellingly through one-on-one conversations, presentations, and public speaking opportunities.
- Influence donors and corporate partners to deepen engagement through events, volunteerism, affinity groups, and programmatic opportunities, resulting in increased financial support.
- Serve as a liaison between donors and the organization by collecting donor feedback, addressing questions or concerns, and sharing insights with internal teams to drive continuous improvement.
- Support workplace campaign efforts by identifying leadership donor prospects and assisting with campaign engagement activities, as needed.
- Build and maintain relationships with community organizations, including civic groups, chambers of commerce, and professional associations; represent UWFC at community meetings and events as assigned.
- Organize and execute special projects that support the Resource Development team and broader organizational goals.
- Maintain knowledge of UWFC programs, services, and community issues to effectively position the organization and its impact.
- Participate in UWFC events and community activities throughout the year, demonstrating collaboration, professionalism, and team-oriented leadership.
- Work outside normal business hours, including evenings, weekends, and peak campaign periods, as required.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred. Minimum of 3 years of previous fund-raising experience, or related experience (business development or sales).

Work Environment: Work is primarily performed in an office environment. This position requires regular movement inside the office to access filing cabinets, office machinery, etc. Attendance at meetings outside of the office is necessary. Routinely is required to walk and regularly travel by car. The position also includes remaining in a stationary position a portion of the time, either standing or sitting, and occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds. There may be exposure to repetitive work on the computer. Evening and weekend hours may be required.
