Summary

Supports the Area Director, manages the administrative needs of the county office and programs, oversees receptionist duties, screens clients as needed, and assists with United Way direct services in conjunction with 211.

Position Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, High School/GED with 2+ years’ experience required.
  • Public speaking experience required.
  • Fundraising/sales experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite of tools and social media platforms required. Valid driver’s license and reliable mode of transportation required.

Essential Job Responsibilities

Community Relations

  • Corresponds with community on behalf of United Way.
  • Maintains appropriate relations with other professional and social service groups in the community and serves on appropriate community committees.
  • Assess community needs and attempts to fill service gaps through available solutions.

Building / Office Oversight

  • Manages administrative operations of the County Office, including services, tenants (as applicable), leases, equipment and building maintenance.
  • Maintains and processes check requests, purchase orders and petty cash.

Direct Service Management

  • Screens and vets client requests for Women United, Landing Military Family Relief Fund and other County emergency funds.
  • Processes applications for client assistance.
  • Directs clients to appropriate community partners.

Fundraising & Public Speaking

  • Participates in annual county campaign, as applicable.
  • Fundraises alongside the Area Director, including pacesetter presentations, kickoff planning and supervision of Ambassador.
  • Develops and implements campaign strategy alongside Area Director.
