Job Title: 211 Community Engagement and Data Manager

Posting Timeframe: Desired Start Date: October 14th, 2024

Position Type: Exempt – full time temporary position (40 hours per week). This position is grant funded through June 30th, 2025 and renewable contingent upon available funding.

Reports to: Director of Programs and Evaluation

Location: Our office is located in Fort Collins, CO. We offer a hybrid environment, working in the office three days a week with the option of two days remote work.

Scope of Position

The 211 Community Engagement and Data Manager coordinates with the 211 Colorado Collaborative, United Way of Larimer County, and other local partners to evaluate and maximize impact of the 211 Colorado platform. Rooted in principles of equity and inclusion, this role encompasses strategic planning, logistical coordination, data and evaluation, and fostering partner relationships. Leveraging strong project management skills, the 211 Community Engagement and Data Manager will conduct a regional evaluation of the effectiveness of 211 Colorado. This includes data collection and analysis of both qualitative and quantitative data, coordination of other Colorado United Way’s and 211 Call Centers, community engagement, and the ability to formulate findings into a comprehensive strategic plan to improve and maximize the potential of 211 Colorado.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Program Evaluation: Lead the development and project management of a 211 evaluation plan that includes identifying key learning objectives, outlining data collection methods, setting deadlines, and reporting on outcomes.
  2. Data Collection & Analysis: Oversee the collection, analysis, and reporting of community data, including 211 call data, community focus group responses, and survey data.
  3. Community Engagement: Collaborate with nonprofits, community members, and other regional United Ways to identify areas of strength, weaknesses, opportunity, and threats (SWOT analysis) for 211 Colorado.
  4. Data Reporting: Communicate the findings of the 211 evaluation through a combination of presentations, written reports, and data visualization tools (PowerBi).

Preferred Qualifications 

  1. Education: Academic or experiential background in public health, sociology, program management, research, or related field. Equivalent experience may be substituted for education.
  2. Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of data management, program planning, or data analysis & reporting, preferably within the nonprofit or community engagement sector, with a commitment to equity and inclusion.
  3. Project Management: Proficiency in overseeing event projects from initiation to completion, ensuring seamless coordination and successful outcomes within established parameters.
  4. Communication Skills: Clear and concise communication is essential for effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
  5. Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail is necessary to ensure thorough event planning and execution that meets or exceeds expectations.
  6. Technology Proficiency: Proficient in using event management software, virtual event platforms, registration systems and project management tools is essential for effectively planning, organizing, and executing events. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite is expected, especially Excel.
