United Way of Snohomish County

Since our start as the Everett Community Chest in 1940, United Way has evolved from a traditional fundraiser into a collaborative partner and convener driving lasting change for children and families in Snohomish County. United Way of Snohomish County brings people, resources, and strategy together to improve lives in Snohomish County—so every family can reach their fullest potential, now and for generations to come, regardless of race, place, or ability. No longer a passthrough organization, we are a catalyst for long-term, systemic change with a renewed focus on ALICE households: families and individuals who are Asset Limited, Income Constrained, and Employed. ALICE represents a significant portion of our county, working hard yet struggling to meet basic needs, and is proportionately impacted by inequities that limit access to opportunity.
