Public Policy and Advocacy Manager

The Senior Manager, Volunteer and Community Engagement will steer the strategic vision for volunteer engagement across the United Way organization, modernize technology and processes to increase and align community and corporate volunteer engagement efforts, and build stronger community relationships.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
Strategic Volunteer Engagement

IT Project Manager

The 211 Care Coordinator assists residents in connecting to social service support by assessing needs and making referrals within a network of partnering organizations. The Care Coordinator will provide a broad-based human services needs assessment; make referrals within the referral platform; collect and record appropriate data on referrals; and follow up to ensure referrals are utilized and complete. STATEMENT OF THE JOB:
This role is accountable for achieving fundraising goals within a portfolio of corporate campaign accounts, individual donors of all levels, including major gifts, and other revenue sources, utilizing year-round strategies to build and maintain superior relationships, cultivate donors, and engage community members in the work of United Way of Greater Toledo to meet and exceed revenue goals.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Development Officer

Overall Purpose of this Role: The Project Manager is responsible for implementing processes, coordinating internal donor relations activities and maintaining data integrity in support of departmental efforts. This role will collaborate effectively cross-departmentally to help advance the organization’s fundraising initiatives and ensure cohesion between all areas.&nbsp;
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Donor Relations
<ul><li>Serve as a key stakeholder in managing the organization’s donor recognition and stewardship plan for donors of all levels, ensuring that the donor experience fulfills the HFUW’s strategic imperative.</li>
<li>Work closely with Senior Executive Assistant to the President and CEO to facilitate correspondence and outreach with current and prospective donors.</li>

Financial Responsibility:&nbsp;Assist Vice President of Workplace Fundraising and Volunteer Engagement with the&nbsp;development of&nbsp;program budgets.Monitor program budgets&nbsp;with&nbsp;assistance&nbsp;of Volunteer&nbsp;Engagement Team Members.&nbsp;Work with fundraising&nbsp;team&nbsp;members&nbsp;to help secure external funding for projects that support volunteer&nbsp;&amp; engagement&nbsp;activities.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Data Analysis:&nbsp;Ensure the&nbsp;accurate&nbsp;and consistent&nbsp;capture and measurement of volunteer and&nbsp;participant data.&nbsp;Collaboratecross-functionally with the Strategic Information and Intelligence division to analyze&nbsp;volunteer and participant data&nbsp;to make decisions on programming and to learn more about&nbsp;the&nbsp;behaviors of those that engage with UWCI.&nbsp;Share insights&nbsp;about&nbsp;the impact of&nbsp;volunteer and participant behavior&nbsp;onorganizational goals, including donor acquisition,&nbsp;retention,&nbsp;and growth.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Relationships: Work&nbsp;cross-functionally&nbsp;to&nbsp;identify, develop and implement opportunities to engage constituents in impact work. Partner with Impact division to develop annual and long-term volunteer recruitment and engagement plans.&nbsp;Identify&nbsp;opportunities for community collaboration.&nbsp;Develop and&nbsp;maintain&nbsp;regular contact with community partners.&nbsp;Identify&nbsp;and communicate with&nbsp;appropriate UWCI&nbsp;team members&nbsp;regarding&nbsp;opportunities to&nbsp;leverage&nbsp;these relationships more broadly.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;

Education and/or Experience&nbsp;

Experience with&nbsp;Hands on connect,&nbsp;Salesforce&nbsp;database&nbsp;or&nbsp;other similar&nbsp;volunteer management and&nbsp;CRM systems is preferred.&nbsp;

Proficiency&nbsp;in computer skills and attention to detail are essential.&nbsp;
