Position Duties &amp; Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Economic Mobility Director, the manager will collaborate across the Impact division and Issue-Based team to implement a variety of initiatives and investments supporting United Way's workforce development goals including but not limited to:

Establish and manage career pathways and workforce development initiatives alongside external partners and stakeholders that provide education, training, technical assistance, thought partnership, and other supports for UWCI partners. 
</li>

Respond to technical assistance inquiries from partners by assessing their needs, providing training and development that addresses the identified needs, brokering services of other consultants, or providing information and resources to assist the organizations. 
</li>
<li>
Collaborate across internal teams and divisions to measure, report, and analyze the impact of workforce partnership services, while simultaneously interfacing with community-based organization partners to review funded grantees' evaluation reports and monitor grantees' progress in achieving key objectivesensuring timely reporting of UWCI grant-funded activities, metrics, and related outcomes.

Maintain and develop trusted liaison relationships with UWCI partner organizations, manage appropriate and timely correspondence through a variety of mediums, and strive to be the best partner to all stakeholders.

Manage special grant making programs to community-based organizations, as assigned.

Collaborate with the Economic Mobility Director on special projects associated with advancing career pathways, workforce development and economic mobility efforts within UWCI's Economic Mobility Issue-Based ecosystem partnerships.

Duties &amp; Responsibilities
<ul><li>Ensure United Way’s physical property, telecommunications systems, and information technology are well-maintained and meet the needs of staff, tenants, and community members.</li>
<li>Proactively ensure ongoing maintenance and security of building and parking lot. Maintain prioritized list of maintenance needs. Ensure that items are assigned and completed in a timely and cost-effective manner, and communicated to appropriate stakeholders.</li>

How You'll Help
Provide professional planning and implementing quality events and functions for donor cultivation, stewardship, and recognition while highlighting the work and mission of Mile High United Way. The Manager will be responsible for the delivery of high-quality events ensuring that the mission, vision, and values of Mile High United Way are reflected in all aspects of planning events. Oversee all donor, signature and programmatic events and including development, implementation and budgeting.
Essential Responsibilities
<ul><li>Responsible for the planning and execution of all signature events including but not limited to Turkey Trot (up to but not limited to 10,000 runners) and Women United Luncheon (up to but not limited to 1,000 attendees).</li>
<li>Manage year-round affinity group sponsorships, events, and overall tracking, including but not limited to the following:

<li>Women United</li>
<li>LINC/ Catalyst</li>

<li>Responsible for achieving planned revenue goals for major events and developing new revenue sources for Events
<ul><li>Payment management, invoicing, budgeting and financial administration work</li>

<li>Work collaboratively with the Marketing and Resource Development Teams to develop sponsorship proposals and fulfillment of those proposals for high profile events.</li>
<li>Oversee the production of printed materials and promotional items, including invitations, signage and giveaways</li>
<li>Develop and maintain impact strategy and tactical timeline of all event related tasks, activities and deadlines and be responsible for making sure that deadlines are met</li>
<li>Collaborate with "key players" to establish the design direction for each event, or campaign, ensuring that consistent design and messaging is carried throughout each piece</li>
<li>Work collaboratively with the Resource Development department to provide stewardship (acknowledgement, recognition, and data reporting) to event attendees</li>
<li>Work collaboratively with the Operations-Facilities departments to ensure appearance, cleanliness and care of space used for events</li>

United Way of Southeast Missouri (UWSEMO) supports 30 partners that help to address immediate need in our four-county service area. More importantly, we invest significant time and money into addressing what creates need in the first place. With the power of our network and widespread contacts, we tackle big issues like transportation and childcare.
UWSEMO seeks a full-time AmeriCorps Planning Grant Director to oversee our recently awarded AmeriCorps State Planning Grant. The chosen candidate will spend a year researching and identifying solutions to childcare and transportation that can be supported by a 2025 AmeriCorps Operations Grant and AmeriCorps members. If UWSEMO is awarded the Operational Grant, the person in this one-year role may transition into the role of Program Director in 2025, managing the AmeriCorps Program for 1-2 years. Salary for the year is $50,000 plus healthcare benefits, a flexible schedule, sick leave and paid holidays. There is no guarantee of full-time employment beyond the grant period.
OVERVIEW OF RESPONSIBILITIES
The chosen candidate will work closely with the Executive Director and other key staff and will be responsible for managing the Planning Grant and conducting the research, data analysis, design, development, and building of operational readiness to implement the 2025 AmeriCorps program. UWSEMO is a small, flexible team with a supportive work environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

	POSITION OVERVIEW: Lead the finance and accounting functions of United Way in collaboration with accounting department and the Vice President of Finance (“VPF”). Work with Finance Committee and Board of Directors on financial oversight of organization. Provide oversight to accounting department to ensure accountability and proper administration of the organization’s financial affairs in conformity with applicable business and regulatory standards. Partner with VPF on strategic initiatives to improve effectiveness and efficiency of all work and provide backup relative to financial matters for the VPF as needed.
	ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND EXPECTED PERFORMANCE OUTCOMES include the following.  Other duties or responsibilities may be assigned.
	LEAD THE FINANCE AND ACCOUNTING TEAM
<ul><li>This department has a staff of six employees for whom the Controller is the direct supervisor. Responsibilities include the support and development of this team in annual and day-to-day matters including: setting and supporting the achievement of performance goals, supervision and appraisal of ongoing performance, training, cross-training and assigning and directing work. <li>Complete and maintain support for normal monthly journal entries and any special entries.</li>

	BOARD/EXECUTIVE LEADERSHIP SUPPORT

<li>Organize and lead the administration of the quarterly Investment Committee meetings.</li>
