Reports to&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;211 StatewideOperations Director&nbsp;Location: &nbsp; Must Reside in Wisconsin&nbsp;United Way of Wisconsin is seeking an organized, enthusiastic, forward-thinking, and mission-focused individual who understands and respects the needs of 211 resource directory users and has an interest in the human services delivery system. The 211 Community Resource Database Associate (Associate) will develop and maintain relationships with agencies and community groups that assist all populations, with an emphasis but not limited to service providers in Wisconsin. This is a full-time, regular, non-exempt position.&nbsp;&nbsp;ABOUT UNITED WAY OF WISCONSIN&nbsp;&nbsp;United Way improves lives and strengthens communities by mobilizing partners to close gaps and open opportunities so everyone can thrive in Wisconsin. The United Way connects partners, donors, volunteers, and community leaders to tackle the root causes of complex challenges while making a positive impact on the lives of Wisconsinites. Statewide our key initiatives are 211 Wisconsin, Volunteer Wisconsin, Workforce Development, and Techquity Wi. We also provide member support services to local and independent United Ways in Wisconsin, and 211 regional contact centers.&nbsp;&nbsp;CORE COMPETENCIES&nbsp;Candidates must be able to demonstrate strong analytical and critical thinking skills, exercise sound judgment, and dynamic teamwork. The person should excel at effective communication, sound technical skills, analytical ability, good judgment, and a strong operational focus. A commitment to updating and improving the community resource directory is essential with an understanding that success will include in person conversations, professional phone, and written communication skills, and be comfortable with using modern technical platforms to enter data and edit content using a systemwide style guide.&nbsp;&nbsp;The individual should have exceptional listening skills, a high level of energy and integrity; compassion for all members of the community and staff and is initiative-taking.&nbsp;&nbsp;ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES:&nbsp;The duties listed below are intended only as illustrations of the types of work that may be performed. The omission of specific statements of duties does not exclude them from the position if the work is similar, related or a logical assignment.&nbsp;&nbsp;Service Directory Curation and Data Entry&nbsp;Regularly update and maintain a comprehensive directory of community service providers, including contact information, eligibility criteria, and service details. &nbsp;Verify agency programs and index the services according to a standard indexing system.&nbsp;Conduct research to identify service providers missing from the directory and add resources and incorporate them into the database. &nbsp;Ensure data accuracy by verifying information with providers and updating as needed. &nbsp;Ensure compliance with national accreditation, taxonomy, and coding standards.&nbsp;&nbsp;Outreach and Community Engagement&nbsp;Assist in implementing outreach strategies to raise awareness about available services within the community. &nbsp;Conduct surveys, telephone, and other methods to regularly update and collect community resource database service listing.&nbsp;&nbsp;QUALIFICATIONS&nbsp;Excellent and demonstrated communication and people skills to interact with diverse populations, required.&nbsp;Strong research and analytical abilities to identify appropriate resources, required.&nbsp;Meticulous with strong organizational skills to maintain accurate information, required.&nbsp;Proficiency in computer applications for data entry and report generation, required.&nbsp;Proficiency in using Microsoft Office products including word and excel, required.&nbsp;Knowledge of local community resources and social service agencies, required.&nbsp;&nbsp;Knowledge of substance use treatment and support services, preferred.&nbsp;&nbsp;Productivity driven with a focus on measurable results.&nbsp;Critical thinking and problem solving.&nbsp;Ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment.&nbsp;&nbsp;Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships and remain positive.&nbsp;&nbsp;Flexible, able to manage priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment without compromising quality.&nbsp;WORKING CONDITIONS&nbsp;Hours of operation are Monday through Friday 8:30 to 5:00 pm.&nbsp;Work involves frequent use of office equipment and exposure to computer screens.&nbsp;&nbsp;Work requires oral and written communication with internal and external partners.&nbsp;&nbsp;Hybrid work environment within the state of Wisconsin.&nbsp;Physical and Mental Demands&nbsp;The physical and mental demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this class.
