This position offers the unique opportunity to collaborate with a diverse team of innovators, where your strategic mindset and financial expertise will directly impact our mission.</p><h3><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></h3><ul><li>Strategic Financial Leadership: Translate financial data into actionable insights that guide organizational strategy and sustainability.</li><li>Daily Oversight: Monitor cash flow, grant fund balances, and budget variances to ensure optimal resource allocation.</li><li>Compliance &amp; Controls: Ensure adherence to GAAP, IRS regulations, and grant compliance standards.</li><li>Contract &amp; Invoice Management: Approve financial transactions in alignment with mission and strategic goals.</li><li>Program Support: Analyze financial feasibility of program expansions and provide insights on organizational stability.</li></ul><h3><strong>What You Bring</strong></h3><ul><li>Expertise in nonprofit accounting, including fund management and grant reporting.</li><li>Strong grasp of GAAP for nonprofits, IRS Form 990, and federal/state compliance.</li><li>Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.</li><li>Familiarity with tools like Blackbaud, QuickBooks Nonprofit, Power BI, or Tableau.</li><li>A collaborative, mission-driven mindset with the ability to communicate financial concepts clearly to diverse stakeholders.</li><li>10+ Years' experience in financial management with increasing levels of responsibility.</li><li>CPA Preferred.</li><li>Master's preferred, Bachelor's required in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance.</li></ul><h3><strong>Why This Role Matters</strong></h3><p>As CFO, your leadership will directly influence how resources are mobilized and deployed to support children, families, and communities across Southeastern Michigan.
