JOB TITLE:&nbsp; FAMILY SYSTEM SPECIALISTREPORTING TO:&nbsp; FAMILY SYSTEM MANAGERDEPARTMENT:&nbsp; 211 OCPOSITION:&nbsp; FULL-TIME / NON-EXEMPT&nbsp;Purpose of PositionThe Family System Specialist plays a critical role in supporting the Family Coordinated Entry System (FCES) by facilitating equitable access to homeless services for families experiencing homelessness in Orange County. This position fosters collaboration among community partners, ensures consistent service delivery across designated Access Points, and upholds best practices in client care. The Specialist is responsible for monitoring data quality, providing training and technical assistance, and enhancing system-wide coordination to improve outcomes for vulnerable families.&nbsp;Key Duties and Responsibilities&nbsp;<ul><li>Access Point Support &amp; System Coordination<ul><li>Serve as the primary liaison for Access Points within the assigned Service Planning Area.</li><li>Identify service gaps and inconsistencies in care; escalate concerns to the Family System Manager.</li><li>Ensure Access Points adhere to FCES standards and protocols.</li><li>Respond to operational needs and provide ongoing support to Access Point staff.</li><li>Assist in the development and implementation of new resources and services.</li><li>Strengthen quality assurance processes for data collection and service tracking.</li><li>Deliver technical assistance, training, and coaching to Access Point teams.</li></ul></li><li>Data Management &amp; Reporting<ul><li>Monitor and analyze FCES data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.</li><li>Collaborate with the Family System Manager to meet reporting requirements and inform strategic decisions.</li><li>Prepare regular reports, presentations, and visual data summaries (charts, graphs, etc.).</li><li>Utilize HMIS and other data systems to generate monthly, quarterly, and annual performance reports.</li></ul></li><li>Service Coordination &amp; Client Advocacy<ul><li>Collaborate with partner agencies to address housing barriers for high-needs families.</li><li>Advocate for appropriate services and resources for unhoused or at-risk households.</li><li>Facilitate warm handoffs to service providers to ensure continuity of care.</li><li>Provide tailored support and technical guidance to Access Points serving vulnerable populations.</li></ul></li><li>System Leadership &amp; Community Engagement<ul><li>Co-lead monthly FCES All-User Meetings to share updates, best practices, and training opportunities.</li><li>Maintain accurate and confidential records in accordance with professional standards.</li><li>Share success stories, progress updates, and key metrics with the Family System Manager.</li><li>Participate in internal meetings, match meetings, and other FCES-related gatherings.</li><li>Represent FCES at community meetings, subcommittees, and public events.</li><li>Cultivate and strengthen partnerships with agencies and service providers across Orange County.</li></ul></li></ul>&nbsp;Job Requirements /Technical Knowledge<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Communications, or a related field; equivalent experience considered.</li><li>HMIS/Clarity experience is required.</li><li>Proficiency in data management and reporting tools; intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.</li><li>Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>Valid California Driver’s License and current auto insurance as required by state law.</li></ul>&nbsp;Compensation<ul><li>Commensurate with experience, education, and market, $24-$27 per hour. Our key areas of focus are youth opportunity, health, community resilience, senior care, and financial well-being.&nbsp;The Director of Development plays a key role in our mission and vision by raising funds that enable us to maximize our reach and impact in McHenry County through our own programs and through grants we award to our non-profit partners.The core responsibility of the role is to maximize donation generation and retention by developing and maintaining relationships with donors, foundations, corporations, and others. The Director of Development is responsible for diversifying our donor base by recruiting new funding sources and growing and retaining existing funding sources. This will include a combination of employee giving campaigns, individual appeals, marketing, collaborations, corporate sponsorships, grants, philanthropic partnerships, community involvement, and fundraising events.This position requires an entrepreneurial professional who will thrive in an outcome-driven, dynamic, and flexible environment. This position requires experience in fundraising, as well as building and nurturing relationships.
