Plymouth Community United WayJOB DESCRIPTION TITLE: Part-Time Marketing, Communication and Special Events Coordinator&nbsp;REPORTS TO: President WAGE: $23/hour OBJECTIVE: The Marketing and Communication Coordinator is responsible for the corporateimage of the organization through product development, public relations, marketing, communication, and special events.Location: This job is for Plymouth, Michigan&nbsp;DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:&nbsp; • Develop and update marketing plans and special events calendar, with short and long-range goals.&nbsp; • Develop and distribute press releases and marketing correspondence.&nbsp; • Maintain media database and relevant contact lists for marketing and volunteers.&nbsp; • Develop social media plan, maintain information for social media.&nbsp; • Coordinate all special events.&nbsp; • Develop various types of marketing, special events and campaign materials (brochures, posters,video, Constant Contact)&nbsp; • Participate in public speaking engagements.&nbsp; • Attend agency fairs, business mixers and Chamber events.&nbsp; • Assist with campaign as needed or required.&nbsp; • Maintain website with current information.&nbsp; • Perform other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Bachelor’s Degree, with 1- 3 years’ experience, in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, SocialWork or related field.&nbsp;2. Excellent oral and written communication skills&nbsp;3. Ability to multitask and prioritize.&nbsp;4. Ability to accomplish tasks with little supervision.&nbsp;5. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.&nbsp;6. Must be able to work evenings and weekends occasionally.&nbsp;7. Proficient in Word, Excel, Power Point, Publisher and Canva&nbsp;8.
