Reports to:&nbsp;Development Operations ManagerExempt status:&nbsp;Non-Exempt<h4>Position Summary</h4>As Development Coordinator at Berkshire United Way, you will be an integral member of our Development team and will support Berkshire United Way’s work to transform philanthropy into action and positive change for people in Berkshire County. The Development coordinator role provides an opportunity to learn fundamentals of Development work, potentially leading to growth opportunities. In partnership with and under the direction of the Development Operations Manager you will contribute to key functions for the Development team, including prospect research, solicitations, Development events and programs, and general administrative support.<h4>Key Responsibilities</h4><ul><li>Provide day-to-day support and manage updates to CRM Lite database to ensure all contacts are properly moved through development process and coded appropriately.</li><li>Provide administrative support for the annual campaign including responsibility to:<ul><li>Assist with all annual fundraising mailings, including the preparation of lists, printing letters, coordination of mailing, tracking gifts, and creating post-mailing reports.</li><li>Participate in general fundraising, assist with preparation of letters and mailings for all departments, and office operations as needed.</li><li>Process quarterly pledge reminders, including running reports, preparing and mailing letters, and following up on donor questions/response.</li><li>Track projections for all segments of the annual campaign.</li><li>Perform annual database management, including Campaign rollover, and data updates.</li><li>Manage contributions made through Stripe credit card processor.</li><li>Coordinate annual reporting, including required reporting to United Way Worldwide.</li></ul></li><li>Compile folders and materials for Development prospect meetings.</li><li>Manage gift acknowledgement process and produce donor letters on a weekly basis.</li><li>Assist with special events planning, preparation, and execution.</li><li>Assist the Development department with scheduling meetings, calendar and contacts maintenance, and meeting preparation and follow-up.</li><li>Monitor media for news and information on Berkshire United Way donors and prospects and update the donor database accordingly.</li><li>Process check requests for department expenses.</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned. &nbsp;</li></ul><h4>Job Requirements</h4><ul><li>Associate’s degree with a minimum of 1 year of experience with administrative support, development, project management. or event coordination, or equivalent related experience. Prior nonprofit experience a plus.</li><li>Exceptional organization, time management, communication, and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Excellent customer service, communication (oral and written), and teamwork abilities.</li><li>Experience and skill with office productivity tools and basic database management.</li></ul><h4>Compensation and Benefits</h4>The Development Coordinator is a full-time non-exempt, in person position. Starting salary is commensurate with relevant experience, within the framework of the organization’s operating budget, and in the range of $42,000 to $52,000 annually. Annual United Way Campaign
Plan and conduct successful annual United Way campaign, including 100+ workplace campaigns
• Design and implement a written annual strategic campaign plan, including a well thought out and organized campaign structure with clearly defined roles for volunteers and a set schedule of planning meetings to set goals and monitor progress of the campaign.
• Maintain weekly campaign schedule of company solicitations by regular contact with companies and conduct and/or assign staff, loaned executives and other volunteers to conduct solicitations.
• Manage and conduct the daily/weekly activities of the campaign (including, but not limited to, campaign presentations, campaign trainings).
• Prepare, maintain, and update all campaign records, reports, materials, and data in data base.
• Analyze and evaluate strengths and weaknesses of past workplace campaigns and develop new strategies; set goals, timetables, and schedules for all areas of the campaign; maintain an awareness of economic factors in the community impacting workplace campaigns.

	Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of five years of successful fundraising experience are required.

Summary:&nbsp; Acts as a proactive liaison to United Way, the community, and partners by promoting support, positive communication, and outreach.
