Love people and serving the community?&nbsp; Join the UWLES team! &nbsp;UWLES is growing and adding a full time professional for Events Coordinator.This team member will manage and lead all events&nbsp;to engage donors, volunteers, advocates, and partners.&nbsp; &nbsp;This person works closely with staff, volunteers, and vendors to advance our fundraising and impact goals.&nbsp; &nbsp;The successful candidate must be an effective and positive communicator, able to manage concurrent projects, and offer creative solutions.&nbsp;Candidates who share our values, commitment to community, and dedication to team success are encouraged to apply – we look forward to learning more about you!&nbsp; Submissions are accepted online and must include a cover letter, current resume, examples of event management and three (3) professional references.Primary duties include:<ul><li>Manage fundraising, outreach, and recognition events to meet revenue goals, inspire engagement, thank supporters, &nbsp;and provide high quality guest experiences. Includes management of:&nbsp;<ul><li>Venue logistics, vendors, volunteers, committee/staff tasks, digital platform, materials &amp; promotion, sponsor/donor outreach &amp; recognition, and budget/event analysis.</li><li>Examples of UWLES events include: &nbsp;Holiday Ball, Over the Edge, Frisbee Golf Tournament, Annual Meeting, Annual Kickoff, donor/volunteer engagement/recognition, online raffles/auctions, etc.</li></ul></li><li>Work with marketing coordinator and development team to plan and execute marketing plans for key events, including social media, digital and print communications, outreach, and advertising.</li><li>Support our Affinity Group (Women United, Emerging Leaders and Student United Way) events as needed.</li><li>Support external fundraising events with community partners as needed.</li><li>Support all areas of development, impact, and operations as needed to fulfill United Way’s mission and goals.</li><li>Additional duties as assigned based on interests, talents, and ability.</li></ul>Minimum Qualifications include:<ul><li>Ability to work in a dynamic, inclusive team environment with a community-centered philosophy.&nbsp;</li><li>Professional, positive, and friendly interpersonal and customer service skills. &nbsp; Commitment to equality, kindness, integrity, and confidentiality at all times.</li><li>Excellent oral and written communication skills.</li><li>Adaptable with strong multi-tasking and prioritizing skills.&nbsp;</li><li>Two (2) years of proven success in event planning, particularly for mid-large scale events.&nbsp; Relevant project management experience may be considered.</li><li>Able to work both independently and with teams of staff and volunteers.</li><li>Advanced computer skills required, including being high proficiency with all Microsoft Office products.&nbsp; Experience with online fundraising/event platforms and ability to master new platforms and databases.</li><li>Experience with project management and graphic design products/software preferred.</li><li>Bachelor’s Degree, with concentration in event management, business or communications, preferred.</li><li>Physical needs of position may include extended periods of sitting or standing and lifting items up to 30 pounds.&nbsp;</li><li>Use of own vehicle and mobile telephone in performance of duties will be needed.&nbsp; Standard mileage reimbursement and flat fee for cell phone is provided (excluding daily commute).</li></ul>This is a full-time, salaried exempt position.&nbsp; Minimum salary is $44,000 and maximum salary is $46,000.&nbsp; &nbsp;Standard office and work hours are 8:30 am – 5:00 pm, Monday-Friday.&nbsp; Options for a four-day work week, hybrid or a modified daily schedule are available with leadership approval.&nbsp; Occasional evening or weekend hours will be required to support the agency’s outreach and fundraising needs, particularly as events often occur beyond normal working hours.&nbsp;Benefits:&nbsp; &nbsp;A full benefits package is offered and includes options for health, dental, vision, life insurance with AD&amp;D, long-term disability, workers compensation, unemployment, and supplemental insurances – most with employer paid portions which vary by type/plan; Simple IRA retirement is offered, with match after first year;&nbsp; paid time off includes sick, vacation, personal, holiday, military and bereavement for immediate family; additional unpaid parental/caregiving leave available.&nbsp;UWLES is an Equal Opportunity Employer and candidates from all backgrounds and cultures are encouraged to apply.&nbsp; Reasonable accommodations may be available for individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties.UWLES is a high-performing nonprofit leader of solutions, funding, and collaboration for the challenges of our region.&nbsp; We leverage talents, relationships, and financial resources to drive community change.&nbsp; Impacting 1 in 3 neighbors annually in our four-county service area, UWLES harnesses the power of our community to advance health, education, and financial stability for all neighbors.&nbsp;Please review our profile on the job link and visit <a href="http://www.uwles.org" target="_blank">www.uwles.org</a> and our socials for additional information about our team, partnerships, fundraising and local impact.
