This dual-role position combines leadership in managing and evolving our Volunteer Center operations with advanced data analysis to inform decision-making, measure outcomes, and enhance community impact.&nbsp;The ideal candidate is equal parts systems-thinker and people-connector—able to support strategic data initiatives while fostering volunteerism throughout Acadiana.&nbsp;Duties and Responsibilities:&nbsp;Volunteer Center Oversight &amp; Engagement (Approx. 50%):&nbsp;<ul><li>Support day-to-day operations of the United Way Volunteer Center, including volunteer recruitment, onboarding, training, and recognition&nbsp;</li><li>Collaborate with community partners and nonprofit organizations to assess volunteer needs and promote opportunities&nbsp;</li><li>Maintain and enhance volunteer management systems to improve scheduling, matching, and communications&nbsp;</li><li>Track and report on volunteer engagement metrics, such as hours served, demographic trends, and retention rates&nbsp;</li><li>Plan and coordinate special service initiatives such as Days of Action, disaster response efforts, and corporate volunteer events&nbsp;</li><li>Serve as a key liaison between volunteers, nonprofit agencies, and internal teams to ensure a high-quality, mission-aligned volunteer experience&nbsp;</li></ul>Data Strategy &amp; Analysis (Approx. 50%):&nbsp;<ul><li>Collect, clean, and analyze quantitative and qualitative data related to United Way programs, community needs, and volunteer impact&nbsp;</li><li>Design and maintain dashboards, scorecards, and visualizations to support performance tracking and storytelling&nbsp;</li><li>Develop data-informed insights and recommendations to guide program strategy, grant reporting, and donor communications&nbsp;</li><li>Coordinate community surveys and assessments to identify local needs and monitor emerging trends&nbsp;</li><li>Ensure data integrity and consistency across platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Excel, Galaxy Digital, or other CRM tools)&nbsp;</li><li>Support staff and partners with data literacy and training where needed&nbsp;</li><li>Safeguard data privacy and ensure compliance with regulations and internal protocols&nbsp;</li></ul>Qualifications:&nbsp;<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Public Administration, Nonprofit Management, Business Analytics, or a related field&nbsp;</li><li>Minimum 2 years of experience in volunteer coordination, data analysis, or community engagement&nbsp;</li><li>Proficiency in Excel, SQL, Tableau, Power BI, or similar data visualization/analysis tools&nbsp;</li><li>Familiarity with volunteer management platforms (e.g., Galaxy Digital, HandsOn Connect) preferred&nbsp;</li><li>Experience working with CRM or database systems (Salesforce preferred)&nbsp;</li><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights for diverse audiences&nbsp;</li><li>Proven ability to manage multiple responsibilities, work independently, and collaborate across departments&nbsp;</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications:&nbsp;<ul><li>Knowledge of local community issues and social service networks in Acadiana&nbsp;</li><li>Experience in nonprofit or mission-driven settings&nbsp;</li><li>Understanding of Results-Based Accountability or similar impact evaluation frameworks&nbsp;</li><li>Bilingual (English/French or English/Spanish) is a plus&nbsp;</li></ul>Core Competencies:<ul><li>Mission Alignment: Deep commitment to the vision and values of United Way of Acadiana&nbsp;</li><li>Strategic Thinking: Ability to connect data, people, and process to drive improvements&nbsp;</li><li>Relationship Building: Builds trust with partners, volunteers, and stakeholders&nbsp;</li><li>Data-Driven Decision Making: Uses evidence to guide planning and measure outcomes&nbsp;</li><li>Initiative &amp; Adaptability: Takes ownership and thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment&nbsp;</li></ul>
