<h2>POSITION OVERVIEW:</h2>The United Way of Massachusetts Bay (UWMB) seeks a proven, effective fundraising leader who will champion our organization's work building stronger, more equitable communities across the region. The PRESIDENT/CEO implements the policy directives emanating from the Board of Directors and assumes the overall leadership role in guiding all administrative, fiscal, financial, and community-oriented program activities as delineated by the standards adopted by the State of Georgia, Federal Accounting Policies, and The United Way Worldwide.&nbsp;General Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:<ol><li>Program Planning, Development, and Evaluation- It is the President/CEO's responsibility to plan and develop programs as funded by the funding agencies and approved by the Board of Directors.&nbsp;Oversee the annual campaign efforts;&nbsp; Implements creative strategies to increase, strengthen, and diversify funding sources;&nbsp; Oversee the administration of the Community Impact process;&nbsp; Oversee the administration of other United Way of Southwest Georgia services;&nbsp; Work closely with appropriate public and private funding sources;&nbsp; Preparation and administration of grants and contracts for initial or continued funding for approval by the Board;</li><li>Fundraising and Fiscal Management- The PRESIDENT/CEO shall assist, advise, and act for the Board of Directors in the following: Oversees/supervises all bookkeeping, accounting, and financial activities. Prepare and provide a periodic financial statement for the board, and compare prior quarter vs. current quarter financial statements.&nbsp; Develop an annual budget for review and approval by the Board; ensure that expenditures are within the budgeted amounts; and prepare budget revisions as needed through the year. Drive sustainable revenue growth through diversified funding sources, including grants, individual donors, corporate sponsorships, and government contracts. </li><li>Environment/Culture- The PRESIDENT/CEO is responsible for ensuring the following environmental standards are met:&nbsp;Establishment of an environment/culture that enhances the positive image of the United Way and the agencies it serves.&nbsp;Equipping and maintaining an environment/culture that ensures the health and safety of the staff, visitors, and volunteers. </li><li>Personnel Management, Board Governance, and Committee Development – The PRESIDENT/CEO is authorized to execute all personnel actions subject to the Personnel Policies and Procedures (Personnel Manual), and to report such actions as necessary to the Board. The annual salary range is $95,000 to $115,000, commensurate with experience.
