This position works closely with the Director of Community Impact to coordinate initiatives across all four impact areas:&nbsp;Healthy Community, Youth Opportunity, Financial Security, and Community Resiliency.&nbsp;The role provides direct support for the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program,&nbsp;Bank on Acadiana, and&nbsp;local Reentry Coalitions, and other community-based projects that advance&nbsp;United&nbsp;Way of Acadiana’s impact work.&nbsp;This position is&nbsp;grant-funded&nbsp;and may be&nbsp;temporary or subject to renewal based on continued funding availability.&nbsp;This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Occasionally, an employee might be asked to carry/transport heavy items up to 40lbs.Duties and ResponsibilitiesCommunity Impact Coordination&nbsp;<ul><li>Assist the Director of Community Impact in planning and implementing initiatives within all four impact areas.&nbsp;</li><li>Coordinate&nbsp;logistics, communication, and partner engagement for community programs, events, and campaigns.&nbsp;</li><li>Support data tracking, reporting, and documentation for grants, funders, and internal evaluation.&nbsp;</li><li>Represent the organization in community meetings and collaborations.&nbsp;</li></ul>Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Support&nbsp;<ul><li>Coordinate site schedules and operations to ensure high-quality, IRS-compliant tax preparation services.&nbsp;</li><li>Serve as a liaison with IRS partners, community organizations, and host sites.&nbsp;</li><li>Assist&nbsp;with outreach and community engagement to promote free tax services.&nbsp;</li></ul>Reentry Coalition Support&nbsp;<ul><li>Work with Reentry Coalitions to strengthen collaboration among agencies serving justice-impacted individuals.&nbsp;</li><li>Help plan and&nbsp;facilitate&nbsp;meetings, communications, and shared initiatives.&nbsp;</li><li>Support reentry-related programs and events that improve community reintegration and stability.&nbsp;</li></ul>Bank On Acadiana Support&nbsp;<ul><li>Assist&nbsp;in coordinating Bank&nbsp;On&nbsp;Acadiana initiatives to promote financial stability and access to safe banking products.&nbsp;</li><li>Serve as a liaison with financial institutions, community partners, and coalition members.&nbsp;</li><li>Support outreach, education, and community engagement efforts to increase awareness of Bank On certified accounts.&nbsp;</li><li>Track program outcomes, participation, and partner engagement to support reporting and continuous improvement.&nbsp;</li></ul>General Duties&nbsp;<ul><li>Assist&nbsp;with community events, outreach activities, and public education efforts.&nbsp;</li><li>Maintain professional communication and strong relationships with community partners.&nbsp;</li><li>Perform administrative and coordination tasks to support the overall success of the Community Impact team.&nbsp;</li></ul>Additional Duties&nbsp;<ul><li>Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Community Impact.&nbsp;</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.&nbsp;</li><li>Experience in volunteer coordination and community outreach.&nbsp;</li><li>Proficiency&nbsp;in managing referral platforms or similar systems, with a focus on Unite Us.&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to work collaboratively within a team and communicate effectively.&nbsp;</li><li>Commitment to the mission and values of&nbsp;United&nbsp;Way of Acadiana.&nbsp;</li><li>This role&nbsp;provides&nbsp;a unique opportunity to drive community impact and volunteer engagement while contributing to the success of United Way of Acadiana's initiatives.&nbsp;</li></ul>Education, Skills &amp; Qualifications:&nbsp;<ul><li>Experience in community engagement, social services, or volunteer coordination.&nbsp;</li><li>Strong communication, organization, and relationship-building skills.&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines independently.&nbsp;</li><li>Comfortable working with diverse populations, including volunteers and justice-impacted individuals.&nbsp;</li><li>Basic administrative and data tracking experience (VITA or IRS certification experience preferred).&nbsp;</li></ul>Requirements before Hire: &nbsp;Proof and maintenance of a valid driver’s license  &nbsp;Proof and maintenance of Vehicle Insurance and reliable transportation  &nbsp;Must pass a Louisiana State Police Criminal Background Check &nbsp;Hours of Work: 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., M-F  &nbsp;Salary: TBD  &nbsp;Competitive Benefits Package, including access to medical, dental and vision insurance, group&nbsp;disability&nbsp;and life insurance and&nbsp;paid-time-off.    &nbsp;
