The Associate Director of Corporate Relations reports to the Senior Director, Corporate Relations. The Corporate Relations Team within the Office of Development serves as the core unit in driving deepened engagement and increased revenue for the Child Well-Being Mission Fund from key corporate partners. Its primary objective is to build relationships with corporate partners and individual donors that will result in increased corporate and individual investments for UWGA programs, initiatives, sponsorships, and other engagement opportunities. DIVISION:                Resource Development Department
REPORTS TO:         Senior Director, Resource Development
CUSTOMER:           Donors, Prospects, United Way Staff, Board of Directors, Committee Members, Agency Partners, Recipients, and Community at large.
PURPOSE OF POSITION:
The Resource Development Manager will build and strengthen relationships with a number of developed and new potential companies.  This position will build and grow relationships with decision-makers and C-Suite leaders to raise funds as a part of the United Way of the Central Savannah River Area (UWCSRA) development team.  This position will also develop, manage, and execute a comprehensive plan to build strategic year-round relationships that align with the mission, vision and values of UWCSRA and generate resources for our community.  In addition, this position will be responsible for articulating the value of individual and corporate investment to United Way.  This role will also be responsible for the cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of all current and potential donors within their portfolio including leadership donors and prospects.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategy
<ul><li>Design and execute a collaborative year round engagement plan within a defined portfolio</li>
<li>Strategize with supervisor, peers, staff, or volunteers to develop strong year-round engagement strategies for each account based on targeted research and corporate social responsibility (CSR) focus at each company</li>
<li>Research and apply for potential grant and foundation funding</li>
</ul>Management
<ul><li>Manage account portfolio focused on raising resources and exceeding goals</li>
<li>Work closely with key volunteers and executives within accounts to plan &amp; implement workplace campaigns and implement year-round engagement strategies in portfolio</li>
<li>Research company and leadership for knowledge of history and culture</li>
<li>Prepare clear and concise objectives and materials for each donor visit</li>
</ul>Donor Engagement
<ul><li>Initiate and cultivate relationships for decision-makers and C-Suite leaders</li>
<li>Engage companies year round through creation and implementation of specific strategies that align with company corporate social responsibility</li>
<li>Create a donor engagement strategy targeted at returning, new, lapsing, and lapsed donors</li>
<li>Personally engage with leadership level donors to increase their participation and retention</li>
<li>Solicit and secure corporate gifts within portfolio</li>
<li>Implement donor stewardship activities to increase participation and retention</li>
</ul>Data and Reporting
<ul><li>Update company and individual donor information in campaign CRM software including, but not limited to, corporate contact(s), employee count, UWCSRA engagement, company results processing information, engagement practices, campaign start/end dates</li>
<li>Work closely with Resource Development &amp; Finance team to ensure results are reflected accurately.</li>

<ul><li>3+ years fundraising or sales experience with excellent communication skills</li>
<li>Undergraduate degree required, advanced degree a plus</li>
<li>Volunteer management and/or grant writing experience a plus</li>
</ul>Salary Range - $39,000 - $43,000

 STATEMENT OF THE JOB:
This role is accountable for achieving fundraising goals within a portfolio of corporate campaign accounts, individual donors of all levels including major gifts, and other revenue sources, utilizing year-round strategies to build and maintain superior relationships, cultivate donors, and engage community members in the work of United Way of Greater Toledo to meet and exceed revenue goals.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
<ul><li>Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward donors and prospects through visits and other forms of direct personal contact in accordance with performance targets.</li>
<li>Inspire and mobilize individual and corporate donors to give, advocate, and volunteer by discovering their interests and proposing alignment with our mission and activities.</li>
<li>Utilize knowledge gathered from donor meetings to develop and implement year-round strategies to engage, cultivate, and steward individual, workplace, and corporate donors.</li>
<li>Execute on short-term and long-range strategic fund-raising goals and objectives.</li>
<li>Develop and manage volunteer and donor stewardship programs that help forward goals of the Resource Development team.</li>
<li>Attend and provide support to donor cultivation and fundraising events as needed.</li>
<li>Work with appropriate staff to create and implement prospect research and cultivation strategies to maximize potential for corporate and individual giving.</li>
<li>Partner with Community Impact staff to understand current program innovations and align them with funding opportunities for donors and prospects.</li>
<li>Work with other departments to ensure cross-functional collaboration and information-sharing.</li>
<li>Maintain Andar database as a tool to help build relationships by keeping accurate and up-to-date account records.</li>
</ul><ul><li>Utilize Andar to support data-informed decision-making about workplace accounts and analyze donor information for trends, gaps, and opportunities for revenue growth.</li>
</ul><ul><li>Evaluate and assess current efforts and propose opportunities for progress and advancement.</li>
<li>Assist in Event Planning (In person &amp; Virtual)</li>
<li>Prepare or Assist in Preparing Campaign Materials</li>

</ul>QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree desired but not required with at least two (2) years’ experience in fundraising, sales, or public speaking.</li>
<li>Experience building relationships with volunteers, donors, customers, or others.</li>
<li>Experience with managing multiple projects at one time.</li>
</ul><ul><li>Or, a comparable combination of education and work experience.</li>
</ul>KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES:
<ul><li>Strong ability and interest in building relationships and working with people.</li>
<li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including public speaking and writing.</li>
