Position Summary&nbsp;
United Way of Central Indiana recognizes that the key to success is a strong and cohesive team that works through shared values to achieve our mission. The Manager of Workforce Pathways Initiatives&nbsp;managesinvestmentsand initiatives&nbsp;related to the development, implementation, and scale of workforce development and financial stability efforts,&nbsp;aiding&nbsp;in the creation and advancement of career pathways to employment and economic mobility for&nbsp;households throughout&nbsp;Central Indiana.&nbsp;This manager position&nbsp;will support efforts to engage key stakeholders including but not limited to&nbsp;community-based&nbsp;organizations, educational institutions including post-secondary, employers and industry/sector partners, government, intermediary organizations, and internal and external stakeholders in support of connecting youth and adults to career pathways and economic opportunity.&nbsp;Additionally, this position works in a collaborative and integrated manner&nbsp;across&nbsp;the&nbsp;Issue Based team and&nbsp;Impact&nbsp;division&nbsp;as well as across all other areas of UWCI to ensure that the&nbsp;organizational goals and strategies&nbsp;are realized, and to&nbsp;assist&nbsp;Central Indiana in making&nbsp;significant progress&nbsp;toward meeting its poverty reduction goals.&nbsp;&nbsp;
Position Duties &amp; Responsibilities&nbsp;

Under the direction of the Economic Mobility Director, the&nbsp;manager will&nbsp;collaborate&nbsp;across the Impact division and Issue-Based team&nbsp;to implement a variety of&nbsp;initiatives and investments supporting United Way's workforce development goals&nbsp;including but not limited to:&nbsp;
<ul><li>
Establish and manage career pathways and workforce development&nbsp;initiatives&nbsp;alongside external partners and stakeholders that&nbsp;provide&nbsp;education, training, technical&nbsp;assistance, thought partnership, and other&nbsp;supports&nbsp;for UWCI partners.&nbsp;
</li>
</ul><ul><li>
Respond to technical&nbsp;assistance&nbsp;inquiries from partners by assessing their needs,&nbsp;providing&nbsp;training and development that addresses the identified needs, brokering services of other consultants, or&nbsp;providing&nbsp;information and resources to&nbsp;assist&nbsp;the organizations.&nbsp;

Collaborate&nbsp;across internal teams and divisions&nbsp;to measure, report, and analyze the impact of workforce partnership services, while simultaneously&nbsp;interfacing&nbsp;with community-based organization partners to review funded&nbsp;grantees'&nbsp;evaluation reports and&nbsp;monitor&nbsp;grantees' progress in achieving key&nbsp;objectivesensuring&nbsp;timely&nbsp;reporting of UWCI grant-funded activities, metrics, and related outcomes.&nbsp;

Maintain and develop trusted liaison relationships with UWCI partner organizations, manage appropriate&nbsp;and timely correspondence through a variety of mediums, and strive to be the best partner to all stakeholders.&nbsp;

Manage special grant making programs to community-based organizations, as assigned.&nbsp;
</li>
<li>
Collaborate with the Economic Mobility Director on special projects associated with advancing career pathways, workforce development and economic mobility efforts within UWCI's Economic Mobility Issue-Based ecosystem partnerships.&nbsp;&nbsp;
</li>
<li>
Perform special assignments and other work, on an as-needed basis.&nbsp;

Education and/or Experience &nbsp;
<ul><li>
Bachelor's degree in business administration, public administration,&nbsp;psychology&nbsp;or related&nbsp;area&nbsp;with a focus on nonprofit management and/or governance&nbsp;preferred.  &nbsp;
</li>
<li>
At least (5) years' experience working in a relevant field including workforce development, economic development, financial stability programming, nonprofit management, and/or intermediary effortsrequired.&nbsp;
</li>
<li>
Experience working within and across a broad range of workforce development-based systems including interfacing with community-based organizations, employers, educational institutions, state and local partners, workforce ecosystem intermediaries, and&nbsp;other system&nbsp;stakeholdersrequired.&nbsp;
</li>
<li>
Strong project management skills&nbsp;requiredwith&nbsp;demonstrated&nbsp;ability to execute and follow through to achieve intended results, by following through on commitments, prioritizing work, and managing time and resources well.&nbsp;
</li>
<li>
Significant and&nbsp;demonstrated&nbsp;experience building and managing diverse networks that support efforts to produce systemic change&nbsp;preferred.&nbsp;
</li>
<li>
Ability to facilitate convenings, workshops, focus groups, task groups, etc. preferred.&nbsp;
</li>
<li>
Must possess excellent interpersonal, writing, and oral communication skills, diplomacy and discretion, critical thinking, and judgment.  &nbsp;
</li>
</ul><ul><li>
Knowledge of the Central Indiana labor market, regional workforce initiatives, key stakeholders operational within&nbsp;workforce&nbsp;ecosystem, and the state/local workforce system is highly desirable. &nbsp;
