Purpose of PositionThe primary purpose of the Information &amp; Referral Specialist at our Contact/Call Center is to assess each caller’s needs and accurately refer them to the appropriate health, human and/or social services agencies from the 2-1-1 Orange County (211OC) resource database. We achieve this by educating expert working knowledge of the 211OC resource database and its management software, advocating, and empowering each caller so that they are provided with great customer service. CIE Network Specialist

<h2>Purpose of Position</h2>The Director, Grants and Contracts, will solicit and manage grant and contract funding for Orange County United Way (OCUW). Under the direction of the Chief Development Officer, the Director, Grants and Contracts, will lead a team in soliciting and managing grants and contracts that fund the organization’s key areas of work, including the programs of United for Financial Security, United for Student Success, United to End Homelessness, and 211OC. Purpose of Position 
Under the supervision of the Senior Manager, Partner Engagement the Resource Coordinator is primarily 
responsible for managing and maintaining relationships with service agencies listed in 211OC’s resource 
databases including keeping up the accuracy of information, adding new agencies and services, and recruiting 
into GetHelpOC closed loop referral partners. 


Key Duties and Responsibilities 
ï· Manage and develop expertise of 211OC’s GetHelpOC: Community Information Exchange and iCarol 

resource databases of all front-end, back-end and administrative features and functions 

ï· Maintain and ensure integrity of records in the resource databases 

ï· Build relationships with agency and program staff, provide GetHelpOC demos, and encourage participation 
in GetHelpOC for closed loop referrals. 

ï· Initiate organization information updates in the 211OC resource databases, provide and follow up on 
requests with agency directors and managers 

ï· Develop a working knowledge of Alliance of Information and Referral Systems (AIRS) Taxonomy and 
Standards and how they are applied in the 211OC Resource Department

Resource Coordinator

Purpose of PositionUnder the direction of the Client Services Supervisor, the Housing Specialist is a client-focused position serving English- and/or Spanish-speaking individuals in Orange County, and is primarily responsible for providing information, resources, and crises assistance to clients contacting 211OC through the helpline, email, texting, outreach events, or any other means identified by 211OC management. We are a high volume call center and the front line to providing assistance to those in need. Purpose: The Director of Operations for United to End Homelessness, a key initiative of Orange County 
United Way, will provide operational leadership to a complex set of programs and activities. This position

Key Responsibilities include: 
 

Expansion and Growth: 
 • Support United to End Homlessness’s (U2EH) expansion efforts, contributing to securing 

additional funding and identifying new growth opportunities. 
 • Work closely with the ED to create staffing plans to ensure a successful expansion of U2EH’s work 
 • Provide supervision and management of staff as required 

 
Budgeting and Fiscal Management: 

 • Monitor income, expenses, and funding balances for U2EH and provide monthly updates to the

 • In collaboration with program directors, prepare and manage program budgets, ensuring fiscal 
responsibility. 

 • Work closely with the finance/accounting team to track spending towards grant/contract 
expectations, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. 

 • Work with finance/accounting and grants/contracts teams to ensure monthly invoicing and 
allocation of funds. 

 • Utilize tools to facilitate effective tracking and reporting on expenditures. 
 

Grants and Contracts: 
Oversight of the grants/contracts compliance plan for U2EH; collaborate with the grants/contracts 
team to create and implement a comprehensive compliance plan, ensuring adherence to relevant 
regulations and guidelines. Work with programmatic staff to ensure that all deliverables and 
performance metrics are met. Stay abreast of changes in grant/contract compliance requirements 
and proactively incorporate updates into the plan. 

 • Work closely with grants/contracts on funding proposals/applications to assist in securing 
additional funding for U2EH. 


Program Work Plans and Timelines: 
 • Work with the program directors to develop and oversee program work plans and timelines, 

ensuring alignment with grant/contract objectives and milestones. 
 • Work with ED and program directors to assist in the deployment of new programs, ensuring 

creation and implementation of policies and procedures. 
 

Data Collection and Evaluation: 
 • Collaborate with the Senior Director, Community Investments &amp; Evaluation and the Senior 

Manager, Evaluation for U2EH on developing appropriate evaluation plans for programs and 
special projects. 

 • Oversee and implement data collection and evaluation efforts aligned with grant/contract 
compliance and reporting requirements. 

 • Leverage collected data to drive continuous improvement and showcase the impact of programs. 
 
 

Integration and Cohesion: 
 • Identify opportunities for integration and lead action plans to eliminate barriers, fostering cohesion 

between U2EH programs. 
 • Work closely with the Chief Strategy Officer and other operations directors of the key initiatives 

and key service to identify and implement strategies of cross collaboration. 
 

Senior Representative Role: 
 • Act as a senior representative of U2EH in organizational meetings and events, demonstrating 

leadership and influence within the organization. 
 • Assist to disseminate U2EH information to partners, funders, and other departments at OCUW 

Represent U2EH in committees, collaboratives, and community meetings, ensuring an effective 
presence in relevant forums. 


Marketing and Fundraising Collaboration: 
 • Coordinate with other OCUW team members and departments to promote a marketing and 

fundraising agenda supporting U2EH programs. 
 • Demonstrate collaborative efforts to enhance visibility and support for fundraising initiatives. 
 • Assist with marketing and donor recognition of U2EH; ensure funders are recognized at 

appropriate U2EH events.

Job Summary
The 211 Program Manager will ensure operational excellence of the 211 social services helpline and its related services. OVERVIEW OF RESPONSIBILITIES 
	Reporting to the Interim VP of Operations and Administration, this position is responsible for the physical and digital infrastructure at United Way, including maintenance and security of the property, management of tenants, and oversight of information technology vendors and systems. Building and parking lot are owned by United Way and include office space for United Way staff and tenants, community event spaces, and warehouse space. This position supervises the Office Manager and the Facilities Coordinator.

Duties &amp; Responsibilities
<ul><li>Ensure United Way’s physical property, telecommunications systems, and information technology are well-maintained and meet the needs of staff, tenants, and community members.</li>
<li>Proactively ensure ongoing maintenance and security of building and parking lot. Maintain prioritized list of maintenance needs. Ensure that items are assigned and completed in a timely and cost-effective manner, and communicated to appropriate stakeholders.</li>
<li>Provide oversight to community spaces and warehouse, creating and reinforcing guidelines for use so that all users can keep the spaces organized and ready for use at all times.</li>
<li>Manage processes and policies related to building tenants (long term contract as well as event groups), with the goal of a fully-leased property.</li>
<li>Oversee procurement and vendor relationships related to building maintenance and security as well as telecom services and information technology. Assess vendors and systems regularly to ensure alignment with UW’s needs. Regular vendors include, but are not limited to, janitorial, security, and IT support.</li>
<li>Manage budget for facilities and technology equipment purchase, maintenance, and contracts. Ensure timely processing of all relevant receivables and payables.</li>
<li>Maintain availability to staff for basic IT support such as troubleshooting equipment, and determining appropriate vendor for escalation as needed.</li>
<li>Manage the renewal of relevant property and liability insurances; report and track claims as needed.</li>
<li>Maintain good working relationship with relevant licensing and government agencies.</li>
</ul>Supervisory Responsibility
This position will oversee two internal staff as well as external IT, security, janitorial and vendor contracts.
Physical Demands
At times, this position may include periods of extended physical activity such as walking, climbing, stooping, kneeling, and bending to inspect all aspects of the property, including technology equipment. Position at times requires the ability to lift up to approximately 50 lbs. EDUCATION/REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge, Skills and Expertise
<ul><li>Facilities management skills: ability to assess and complete basic maintenance, building, and repair tasks; knowledge of equipment, supplies, and materials used in commercial property maintenance; general understanding of plumbing, HVAC, electrical, security, etc.</li>
<li>IT skills: knowledge and understanding of standard office hardware and software systems; ability to troubleshoot hardware and software; experience with software and IT support vendors; ability to support users and suggest appropriate steps for resolution.</li>
<li>Ability to manage vendors, contracts, and budgets.</li>
<li>Ability to exercise good judgment, manage time effectively to solve problems and take initiative, assign tasks and projects to appropriate parties, and respond appropriately to changing circumstances and priorities.</li>
<li>Ability to develop and maintain relationships with multiple internal and external individuals.</li>
<li>Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.</li>
<li>Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and cloud-based systems.</li>
<li>Fluency in English required, with strong written and oral communication skills.</li>
<li>Ability to multitask and work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced office environment.</li>

<ul><li>Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school.</li>
<li>A minimum of 5 years relevant facilities experience with at least 1 year IT support experience.</li>
<li>Combination of experience and education.</li>
<li>Supervisory experience is strongly preferred.</li>
