General Description: This position supports Family Stability Program case manager(s) in connecting with new participants. In this role, you will engage in outreach efforts to bring new participants into the program, enter demographic data into a computer system to track grant goals, and assist with fulfilling service referrals in an educational setting at our Hallandale Beach location. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by representing the program at community events and activities.The Family Stability Program is housed within the Community Partnership School™ (CPS) program. The Family Stability Program provides coaching, resource referrals, and financial education to local parents and students, particularly those with low income and homelessness related conditions.&nbsp;.Primary Job Responsibilities &amp; Duties:&nbsp;<ol><li>Serve as the main point of contact (POC) for the Family Stability Program through community outreach efforts and during participant enrollment stages.&nbsp;</li><li>Screen potential participants to determine if they meet eligibility requirements for the Family Stability Program.&nbsp;</li><li>Input participant demographics, and case related documents into computer database.</li><li>Connect participants presenting an immediate need to appropriate treatment or service providers.&nbsp;</li><li>Utilize a best practice of cultural competency and promote a service environment where participant success and well-being are prioritized.</li></ol>Other Job Duties:&nbsp;<ul><li>Advocate on behalf of participants and families for services, basic needs, and other related issues.&nbsp;</li><li>Stay abreast of&nbsp;community resources and procedures for referring participants to appropriate resources.</li><li>Conduct community and home visits (if needed) related to fulfilling resource referrals.</li><li>Performs other duties and assumes other responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.</li><li>Due to the leadership role United Way is called upon to play in the community, particularly during times of crisis, it is the expectation that all United Way staff will be fully engaged in the organization's crisis plan and response efforts.</li></ul>Supervises:&nbsp;This position has no supervisory responsibilities.Education &amp; Experience:&nbsp;<ul><li>Associate’s degree with major course work in social work, psychology or other field closely related field, preferred. High school diploma and two (2) years related work experience can be substituted for higher degree.&nbsp;</li><li>Experience in data entry, customer services, hospitality, community resource referral, or closely related work.</li><li>Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse audience.&nbsp;</li><li>Strong organizational, project management, and interpersonal skills.</li><li>Ability to work independently and in a team environment with a positive attitude and handle sensitive and confidential information with maximum discretion.</li><li>Experience with Microsoft Office Suite</li></ul>Environment &amp; Physical Demands:&nbsp;The environment is climate controlled (i.e., heated and air-conditioned).&nbsp; Lighting is adequate through overhead lighting as well as windows and blinds. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Physical demands include sitting and/or standing for extended periods of time, bending, lifting approximately 25 pounds, regular use of the telephone, copier, fax and computer.&nbsp; Demands also involve protracted concentration.&nbsp;
