United Way of Broward mobilizes our community to action so all can thrive.&nbsp;General Description: In collaboration with the Major Gifts team, the Major Gifts Officer (MGO) will be responsible for helping United Way Broward (UWB) reach its fundraising goals by identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding major gifts. MGO will work closely with the Senior Director, Major Gifts (SDMG) to cultivate donors and prospects within the Major Gifts revenue streams: transformational giving, major gifts of $10k plus, planned giving, foundations, and capital campaign.&nbsp; In addition, the MGO will develop strong Donor Relations through individual and collective outreach, communication, and events to ensure retention and promote increased giving.&nbsp; Responsibilities will also include supporting the coordination and leadership of the Major Gift and Legacy committees.&nbsp; A portfolio of major gift donors and prospects must be individually maintained.Primary Job Responsibilities &amp; Duties:&nbsp;<ul><li>Implement overall Major Gifts strategy developed by SDMG.</li><li>Identify, engage and re-engage donors, particularly those emerging as the next generation of potential philanthropic leaders.</li><li>Conduct individually tailored, one-on-one cultivation and solicitation meetings and work with appropriate volunteers to strategize and manage their cultivation and solicitation of targeted donors.</li><li>Identify and solicit new major gifts.&nbsp;</li><li>Connect United Way Staff and Board of Directors to new and/or prospective Tocqueville Society members.</li><li>Cultivate, steward and build trusted relationships with a portfolio of major donors and prospective major donors and legacy giving prospects to generate new and increased giving. &nbsp;(Portfolio: 150-200).</li><li>Effectively develop, organize, manage, support and motivate a volunteer team to aid in the identification, cultivation and solicitation of high-capacity donors and prospective donors.</li><li>Partner with Major Gift and Development colleagues, for identification of prospects</li><li>Develop meaningful ways to engage major gift donors and prospects throughout the year including personal visits, executing unique events and volunteer opportunities to connect our members to the work United Way is doing in Broward County.</li><li>Create and implement a stewardship and recognition plan, including thanking donors, events and leadership registry.</li></ul>Other Job Duties:&nbsp;<ul><li>Maintains confidentiality of all materials, and uses judgment and tact in dealing with internal and external inquiries.</li><li>Understand the United Way of Broward concept, mission, purpose, philosophy and background to handle routine calls from public in an effective and diplomatic way.</li><li>Develops and maintains good working relationships with staff, board members, major donors, volunteers, agency representatives, and guests of the SDMG.</li><li>Plans and prioritizes work to meet scheduled deadlines; <h2>Position Summary&nbsp;</h2>The Resource Development Manager reports to the Senior Vice President of Resource Development and will play a critical role in the management of United Way of Palm Beach County’s corporate workplace fundraising campaigns.&nbsp; This position will oversee a defined portfolio of corporate relationships to support the total annual workplace revenue goals. Workplace revenue is comprised of employee giving campaigns, workplace-led special events, and corporate gifts. The Resource Development Manager is expected to develop, cultivate, and manage new and existing corporate relationships as part of the overall fundraising strategy.&nbsp;The ideal candidate thrives in a forward-facing role, building relationships and providing excellent customer service.&nbsp;This position will work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders as well as work externally with a defined segment of corporate industries to aid in their corporate social responsibility initiatives. Overall Purpose of this Role: The Project Manager is responsible for implementing processes, coordinating internal donor relations activities and maintaining data integrity in support of departmental efforts. This role will collaborate effectively cross-departmentally to help advance the organization’s fundraising initiatives and ensure cohesion between all areas.&nbsp;
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Donor Relations
<ul><li>Serve as a key stakeholder in managing the organization’s donor recognition and stewardship plan for donors of all levels, ensuring that the donor experience fulfills the HFUW’s strategic imperative.</li>
