This position is located in Orange, Seminole, and Osceola County, grant funded and seasonal. POSITION SUMMARY Manages daily VITA tax site operations to ensure compliance with IRS standards, accurate tax preparation, and effective volunteer management while supporting the Financial Stability Initiatives program through material distribution, client communication, and appointment scheduling. Builds community awareness, strengthens stakeholder relationships, and provides the leadership and resources needed to deliver accessible, high-quality tax services. &nbsp; KEY RESPONSIBILITIES &amp; ESSENTIAL DUTIES OF POSITION An individual must be able to perform each essential duty listed below at a satisfactory level:<ul><li>Maintain VITA site schedules, operations, equipment, staffing, and outreach in coordination with the site point of contact.</li><li>Manage and supervise volunteers, ensuring sites are open, staffed, and supported with necessary resources.</li><li>Maintain volunteer schedules and contact information and report hours to the Program Manager.</li><li>Ensure tax forms, supplies, and equipment are available and distributed as needed.</li><li>Establish and oversee on-site quality review systems to ensure accuracy and compliance.</li><li>Ensure IRS e-filing compliance, including data collection, daily transmission of returns, and correction of rejections.</li><li>Support outreach efforts with site partners to increase community awareness and utilization of VITA services.</li><li>Ensure community members are informed of required documents, appointments, and other filing requirements for tax preparation.</li><li>Monitor and evaluate outreach effectiveness throughout the tax season.</li><li>Maintain relationships with key stakeholders.</li><li>Assist with providing detailed reporting on program outputs and outcomes.</li><li>Maintain client and staff confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA, FIPA, PHI, PII requirements.</li><li>Contribute to overall organizational success by performing other duties and responsibilities as assigned.</li></ul>JOB REQUIREMENTS Job requirements include:<ul><li>High School diploma or equivalent required.</li><li>One year of experience in tax preparation required.</li><li>Certified in Volunteer Standards of Conduct, Intake/Interview &amp; Quality Review, Site Coordinator, and Advanced Tax Preparer.</li><li>Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office required.</li><li>Customer service skills and experience required.</li><li>Ability to edit, complete, and assemble reports.</li><li>Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>Ability to work independently with minimal supervision required.</li><li>Strong communication skills, both written and orally, required.</li><li>Ability to utilize critical thinking and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Ability to utilize organizational skills effectively.</li><li>Bilingual preferred.&nbsp;</li></ul>COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS Communications - Ability to communicate effectively.
