Marketing, Communications and Special Events Coordinator

ORGANIZATION OVERVIEW
Plymouth Community United Way is a small United Way in Plymouth Michigan that serves Plymouth and Canton in Wayne County, Michigan.  
OVERVIEW OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
<ul><li>Develop and manage fundraising plans and timetables, set goals and projections, and develop strategies.</li>
<li>Organize fundraising structure as needed to respond to changes in the workplace, direct mail appeals and economic trends.</li>
<li>Curtivate donors including leadership givers, corporate supporters and other investors.</li>
<li>Develop major gift stratigies that align with the organization's long-term goals.</li>
<li>Research and write grants.</li>
<li>Develop planned giving program.</li>
<li>Effectively present information, through public speaking and presentations.</li>
<li>Maintain donor records through collaboration with staff.</li>
<li>Coordinate and conduct workplace campaigns.</li>
<li>Maintain knowledge of local, political, social and economic factors that will impact agency fundraising.</li>
<li>Perform other duties as assigned.</li>
</ul>​QUALIFICATIONS:
<ul><li>Bachelor's degree in nonprogit management, sales, social work or related field required. Master's degree a plus.</li>
<li>3-5 years' experience in  nonprofit fundraising, grant writing and planned giving.</li>
<li>Excellent oral and written communication skills.</li>
<li>Team player and multi-tasker.</li>
<li>Porficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Canva</li>
<li>Valid Michigan Driver's license</li>
<li>Must be able to lift 25-50 lbs.</li>

Resource Development Associate

Research and update nonprofit community resources.
Duties: Research nonprofits, contact, missions and services.  To develop informaiton for referral services, organize and input information into the data base.  Develop contacts with area nonprofits.  Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Associate Degree in Communitcation, Information Technology or related field.   Website Management a must.  Excellent oral and written communication skills in person and on the phone.  Ability to multitask and prioritize, ablility to accomplish tasks with little supervision, ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.  Must be able to work evenings and weekends occasionally, proficient in Word, Excel, Power Point, Publisher and Canva.  Must have a valid Michigan driver's license.  Must be able to lift 25 - 50 lbs.
