This position will handle incoming phone contacts on our National Suicide Prevention Lifeline (NSPL), also known as 988, while collecting and documenting all required data and offering all applicable resources and referrals to callers who may be in emotional distress and suicidal crisis. The Crisis &amp; 988 Specialist is responsible for providing excellent service to those accessing the service by applying the equivalent of reflective listening and motivational interviewing skills in the context of an electronic exchange. Crisis &amp; 988 Specialists have the special training and skills to interact via phone, chat and text to understand callers’ unique circumstances and needs, render immediate emotional support, provide options for ongoing support/treatment and follow up to ensure needs are being met. This position also requires the ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with diverse and multi-cultural individuals, be non-judgmental, and respectful of the confidential nature of the job. &nbsp;Key Responsibilities and Essential Functions: • Attend staff meetings, in-services, training sessions and conferences when appropriate to job responsibilities. • Participate in staff training activities to maintain the required annual training hours. • Keep Microsoft TEAMS open and check frequently. Acknowledge new posts from Crisis &amp; 988 Director or other supervisory staff promptly. • Keep Outlook email account open and minimized on desktop during work hours; respond to supervisor emails promptly. • Document and maintain accurate, thorough records of all telephone interventions transacted during the work shift. • Be fully prepared to begin answering phone lines promptly per assigned work schedule. • Log into the call queue to take calls. • Adhere to lunch and shift schedule unless change is approved in advance by the Supervisor. • Keep all activities in line with the core values and contribute to the positive culture of United Way of NE Florida. • Contribute to the overall effectiveness of the Crisis and 988 by completing all other tasks as assigned. • Answer phone calls with an appropriate tone of voice, paying close attention to voice inflection and volume. • Answer chats, texts and emails using correct spelling grammar, and professional language, paying close attention to the inclusion of feeling reflections. • Demonstrate proficiency in using multiple types of contact center software, computer hardware and telephone equipment. • Maintain acceptable level of contact handling and customer service performance as described by 988 training standards. • Within 988 guidelines, assesses needs of persons contacting 988 and provide para-professional counseling, information &amp; referral services, crisis intervention, suicide de-escalation/intervention, and linkage services via various channels of communication, including: online chat, phone, texting and email. • Use active listening skills and conversational intent to; develop a strategy that identifies solutions to barriers to access, provide high-quality confidential connections to resources and services, demonstrate objectivity and empathy and be non-judgmental and neutral in handing all contacts. • Develop and implement crisis related safety plans. • If imminent risk to the individual or others, the Crisis &amp; 988 Specialist may engage 911 to assist in response. • Maintain a non-judgmental attitude when interacting with contacts, displaying sensitivity to all cultural backgrounds. • Referral process consists of assessing the needs of the inquirer, identifying appropriate resources, and providing enough information about resources to help inquirer make an informed decision. • In line with 988 policy and procedures, follows-up with designated at-risk callers to determine referral outcomes. • Must successfully complete VIBRANT training prior to assisting callers • Perform other such duties as may be assigned by the supervisory team • These job responsibilities are to be the main emphasis of this position. <h2>Position Summary&nbsp;</h2>The Resource Development Manager reports to the Senior Vice President of Resource Development and will play a critical role in the management of United Way of Palm Beach County’s corporate workplace fundraising campaigns.&nbsp; This position will oversee a defined portfolio of corporate relationships to support the total annual workplace revenue goals. Workplace revenue is comprised of employee giving campaigns, workplace-led special events, and corporate gifts. The Resource Development Manager is expected to develop, cultivate, and manage new and existing corporate relationships as part of the overall fundraising strategy.&nbsp;The ideal candidate thrives in a forward-facing role, building relationships and providing excellent customer service.&nbsp;This position will work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders as well as work externally with a defined segment of corporate industries to aid in their corporate social responsibility initiatives. POSITION SUMMARY 
 
The VITA Program Coordinator is a member of United Way of Greenville County’s Community Impact team and is 
responsible for administering the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program in Greenville County. The VITA 
Program Coordinator will oversee implementation of VITA services at partner sites during the season and operate 
year-round tax services at the Opportunity Center.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES 
 

Volunteer and Client Engagement, Support, and Retention 
 - Serve as the main contact for clients and volunteers, responding promptly to inquiries. 
 - Develop initiatives to engage and retain volunteers, ensuring they feel valued and supported. 
 - Regularly communicate with volunteers to provide support, recognize achievements, and gather feedback. 
 - Create and manage recruitment strategies, including public presentations and events. 
 - Develop and deliver training sessions for volunteers and AmeriCorps members, including presentation materials. 
 

Site Coordination, Staff &amp; Shift Management 
 - Hire, train, and supervise seasonal site coordinators to ensure effective VITA service delivery. 
 - Plan and manage site and volunteer schedules, and coordinate events. 
 - Ensure appropriate staffing for each shift, being on-call when necessary. 
 - Oversee site setup and closure, managing inventory, supplies, and technology. 
 - Provide technical support to volunteers, AmeriCorps members, and clients. 
 - Troubleshoot minor technology issues at sites, including printer, network, and laptop malfunctions. 
 - Address routine site issues and refer complex problems to the appropriate staff. 
 - Coordinate the distribution, collection, and inventory of VITA supplies and equipment.

This role will be responsible for transporting, operating, and maintaining a 24-foot mobile shower trailer 
which provides essential hygiene services to individuals experiencing homelessness or housing insecurity. 
A reliable, detail-oriented individual who’s passionate about making a positive impact in the community 
is essential to this role. 
 
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

 • Transportation: Safely and efficiently drive a large pickup truck towing a 24-foot shower trailer to 
and from designated sites following all traffic laws and safety regulations. 

 • Setup: Configure the shower trailer at event locations, ensuring proper connections to water and 
power sources for seamless operation. 

 • Maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance on the trailer, including emptying grey and black 
water tanks, checking tire pressure, fluid levels, and overall condition to ensure reliability. 

 • Cleaning: Maintain a sanitary and welcoming environment by thoroughly cleaning the interior and 
exterior of the trailer after each event. Stock and replenish supplies. 

 • Customer Service: Deliver outstanding customer service to event organizers and attendees, 
proactively addressing questions and concerns to enhance the overall experience. 

KEY REQUIREMENTS: 
 • Valid South Carolina driver’s license with a clean driving record. 
 • Experience operating large vehicles such as trailers or RVs. 
 • Ability to lift and carry materials up to 50 lbs. 
 • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. 
 • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

The Director of Impact is an integral role as impact is the core to the mission and vision. Specifically, this includes capacity building for and with community-based organizations, free tax preparation, health equity and economic mobility work to advance wealth in disinvested communities, overseeing the 211 and mobilizing community resources and piloting or overseeing all strategic initiatives related to impact that arise, working closely with the CEO and designated senior leadership.&nbsp;Key Responsibilities/Essential Functions:&nbsp;<ul><li>Impact:<ul><li>Provide strategic direction and oversight of all programs, services, and partnerships to advance the mission and vision.&nbsp;</li><li>Work closely with the CEO and senior leadership to execute the organization's strategic vision.</li><li>Provides insight into impact, partnerships, and strategic initiatives.&nbsp;</li><li>Represent the United Way in community meetings specific to service alignment.&nbsp;</li><li>Oversees program development, including the design, implementation, and evaluation of community impact programs.&nbsp;</li><li>Working with CEO and grant writing team to provide program specific insights for fund development. This includes monitoring progress toward goals and supporting project management across various workstreams.&nbsp;</li><li>Responsible for all grant reports and regular impact reports for the CEO and ensures proper data collection and evaluation of programs and services is occurring and reviewed regularly.&nbsp;</li><li>Collaborate with program leaders to ensure alignment with the organization’s mission and goals, both internally and externally.&nbsp;</li><li>Oversee program specific budgets which includes both restricted grant revenue and unrestricted funding allocated to the department, working closely with finance team.&nbsp;</li></ul></li><li>Department budget:<ul><li>Partner with the CEO and designated finance lead(s) to develop and manage the organization's budget. This includes informing grant budgets for new funding opportunities.&nbsp;</li><li>Identify opportunities to diversify funding as relevant to community impact (i.e. new grant streams, fee for service opportunities).&nbsp;</li><li>Provide needed data and impact stories for grant proposals, events, or other forms of fund development.</li></ul></li><li>Team Leadership:<ul><li>Foster a culture of teamwork,&nbsp;accountability, and innovation among staff by encouraging creative thinking, experimentation, and the adoption of emerging paradigms. This is a pivotal role in organizing and overseeing free tax preparation events and initiatives, aimed at helping individuals and families access essential tax services, tax credits, and financial education. This individual will collaborate with various partners and volunteers to ensure the successful execution of tax preparation programs that benefit our community. The Financial Stability Manager is responsible for building and implementing a strategic plan that focuses on increasing the number of tax returns filings and ITIN application submissions for low-income community members.Key Responsibilities/Essential Functions:· Program Planning and Coordination:o Plan, coordinate, and execute free tax preparation program in accordance with United Way guidelines and goals.o Collaborate with partner organizations, community groups, and volunteers to ensure seamless program delivery.o Work closely with the Director of Impact and Director of Operations to implement and oversee a detailed program schedule and budget.o Monitor the program budget and ensure program schedule is on track with both deliverables and budget.o Lead and/or coordinate comprehensive training for free tax preparation services and/or financial resilience workshops.· Community Engagement:o Foster and maintain cross-sector community partnerships (i.e. other nonprofits, government, and business partners).o Implement marketing and outreach strategies to raise awareness about free tax preparation services and available credits, especially targeting low-income individuals and families.o Utilize various channels such as social media, community events, and partnerships to promote tax assistance programs.o Outreach to organizations with shared values or missions to promote services to individuals and families they serve. This may also include outreach at community events.· Volunteer and Site Management:o Recruit, train, and supervise volunteers, ensuring they are equipped to provide accurate tax assistance.o Manage volunteer schedules and provide ongoing support to volunteers. throughout the tax season.o Manage and support the sub-granted partner sites (if applicable, Family Resource Centers) contracted to provide free tax preparation services.· Client Assistance:o Assist clients in understanding tax credits, deductions, and eligibility criteria.o Address client inquiries and concerns related to tax preparation services.o Provide/coordinate free tax preparation services and financial education for eligible individuals and families/priority populations.· Reporting and Compliance:o Ensure that tax preparation services comply with IRS regulations and standards.o Conduct quality checks on tax returns to minimize errors.o Maintain accurate records of program participants, services provided, and outcomes achieved.o Compile and submit necessary reports and documentation to United Way and relevant agencies, especially regarding grant and funding opportunities.· Other duties as assigned.
