POSITION SUMMARY Guide students through the full college and career planning process, including pathway development, application support, financial aid navigation, and progress monitoring. Strengthen student success by providing individualized guidance, engaging families, and collaborating with program leadership to remove barriers and support post-secondary readiness. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES &amp; ESSENTIAL DUTIES OF POSITION An individual must be able to perform each essential duty listed below at a satisfactory level:<ul><li>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Guide students through the college placement process by developing individualized college and career pathway plans.</li><li>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Schedule student meetings and facilitate group activities that advance pathway goals.</li><li>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Support students in identifying best-fit post-secondary options through goal-setting, exploration, and program research.</li><li>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Assist students and their parents or guardians with FAFSA completion, scholarship identification, and other financial aid processes.</li><li>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Engage parents or guardians to clarify program expectations, strengthen understanding of the enrollment process, and address questions or concerns.</li><li>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Provide guidance that helps students make informed decisions about their future while encouraging ambitious goals.</li><li>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Assist students with preparing personal statements, essays, applications, and interviews by reviewing materials and offering feedback.</li><li>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Monitor and track student progress on pathway tasks, milestones, deadlines, acceptance letters, enrollment steps, and FAFSA submission.</li><li>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Communicate with the Coordinator or Program Manager regarding student progress, challenges, and support needs.</li><li>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Participate in training sessions, workshops, college visits, and panels as needed.</li><li>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Maintain client and staff confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA, FIPA, PHI, PII requirements.</li><li>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;May be classified as essential, requiring prompt and effective action during critical situations to ensure the safety and well-being of the community.</li><li>&nbsp; &nbsp; Contribute to overall organizational success by performing other duties and responsibilities as assigned.</li></ul>JOB REQUIREMENTS Job requirements include:<ul><li>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Current college student enrolled in a 2-year or 4-year degree program.</li><li>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Completed at least 24 college credit hours with a minimum 3.0 GPA.</li><li>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;A strong understanding of the college selection and admissions process, financial aid, scholarship application processes, and the U.S. higher education system.</li><li>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Ability to commit to working a minimum of 10 hours per week.</li><li>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Available to work during high school hours and after-hours events.</li><li>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office required</li><li>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Customer service skills and experience preferred.</li><li>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Ability to edit, complete, and assemble reports.</li><li>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Attention to detail and accuracy.</li><li>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Analytical skills preferred.</li><li>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Ability to work independently with minimal supervision required.</li><li>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Strong communication skills, both written and orally, required.</li><li>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Strong proofreading skills preferred.</li><li>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Ability to utilize organizational skills effectively.</li><li>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Must have access to a secure laptop with private, secure, and stable high-speed internet connection.</li><li>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Must have access to a quiet, confidential workspace.</li><li>&nbsp; &nbsp; Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.</li></ul>COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS Communications - Ability to communicate effectively.
