General Description:&nbsp;The Campaign Associate will support the planning, organizing, implementation and successful completion of all campaigns within an assigned group of accounts in the workplace development department.&nbsp; &nbsp;They assist United Way staff in the development and implementation of workplace campaigns.&nbsp; Campaign Associates lend their expertise and energy to help United Way expand their efforts, reach new markets and broaden the base of community giving.&nbsp;&nbsp;Season estimation: August 2024 through November 2024.&nbsp;Duties and ResponsibilitiesAccount Management<ul><li>Meets with (Employee Campaign Managers) (ECMs) and campaign committees to plan, organize and schedule employee campaign, maintaining continuous contact to provide support for leadership, providing guidance and direction</li><li>Validates account information for each campaign/prospect and collects payments and pledges during and after campaign.</li><li>Makes calls as required for initial contact of individuals/groups/organizations for campaign solicitation.</li><li>Emphasizes the use of model best practice employee campaign fundraising techniques and suggests improvements and strategies to meet fundraising goals</li><li>Facilitates delivery of campaign materials and arranges for speakers, videos, agency tours, etc. to demonstrate United Way’s mission and work.</li><li>Attends Campaigns and presents UWBC’s message and mission at employee group meetings.</li><li>Ensures campaigns stay on track and ECMs report results according to prescribed timetable.</li><li>Updates prospect and account contact information in database for the Development team.</li></ul>Administrative Tasks<ul><li>Writes all appropriate correspondence.</li><li>Completes the required campaign tracking documents and evaluation forms.</li><li>Verifies, updates and maintains account information for each assigned account in Andar (CRM platform).</li><li>Research businesses, prospects, and lapsed accounts as needed by Development team.</li><li>Documents all conversations, contacts, and/or activities in individual and corporate accounts.&nbsp;</li><li>Makes phone calls as needed to confirm/update data including campaign dates, thank donors, invite donors to&nbsp;upcoming events, etc</li><li>Organizes and manages campaign supply inventory (brochures, posters, etc.).</li></ul>Experience and Requirements:&nbsp;<ul><li>Associates degree, or four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in progressively more responsible job-related positions, preferably in fundraising and sales.</li><li>Sales, customer service or account management experience preferred, but not required.&nbsp; Campaign Associate (Seasonal/Temporary Assignment)

OVERVIEWExciting opportunity for retirees, stay-at-home parents, college students or anyone looking for a part-time, flexible job!&nbsp;The VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) Site Coordinator is responsible for maintaining an orderly, efficient, and welcoming site; ensuring Quality Requirements are executed; coordinating volunteer schedules; and providing excellent customer service to clients and volunteers. The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program provides low-to-moderate income households with free assistance to file their income tax return.This is a temporary contract position established for the 2025 tax season, to begin at time of hire and end April 30, with the possibility of some hours through May to accommodate off-season needs.&nbsp; The position has a flexible working schedule, averaging 20 hours per week.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESSite Management:<ul><li>Organize waiting areas and workstations for tax preparers with necessary resources and supplies.</li><li>Ensure all required paperwork and forms are stocked for each tax appointment.</li><li>Review intake paperwork and discuss with clients.</li><li>Assist clients through the tax filing process.</li><li>Maintain orderly clients’ files and ensure security of confidential paper and electronic files.</li><li>Communicate supply needs to the Program Manager for ordering.</li><li>Ensure the site closely adheres to the Quality Site Requirements.&nbsp;</li><li>Ensure the site adheres to Title VI by not denying service to anyone based on race, color, sex, age, national origin, or disability.&nbsp;</li></ul>Personnel Management:<ul><li>Communicate with volunteer preparers to ensure appropriate coverage is maintained for each day the site is open.</li><li>Communicate with volunteers regarding coverage and attendance.</li><li>&nbsp;Track volunteer attendance and hours of service.&nbsp; Prepare monthly volunteer time report for the site to be submitted to the VITA Program Manager.</li><li>Support volunteer appreciation activities.</li><li>(In some cases) supervise administrative staff responsible for greeting clients.</li></ul>Communication:<ul><li>Serve as a main point of contact for clients. Field in-person questions, respond to phone calls and contact clients when necessary to address problems with returns.&nbsp;</li><li>Serve as a communication liaison regarding the operation of the tax site for colleagues and volunteers.</li><li>Distribute updates and changes from the IRS to volunteers and clients.</li></ul>QUALIFICATIONS<ul><li>A willingness to learn and use electronic tax return software. &nbsp;</li><li>Ability to assist clients and volunteers in a courteous and helpful manner.&nbsp;</li><li>Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines.&nbsp;</li><li>Committed to providing excellent customer service, with demonstrated ability to follow instructions and carefully review work for accuracy.</li><li>Ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds.</li><li>Punctual and reliable.</li><li>Enjoys working as a part of a team and with volunteers.</li><li>Basic computer skills.</li><li>Basic tax knowledge (Form 1040, Form 1040A, and Form 1040EZ) and VITA certification at the Advanced level is required before February 1, 2025.
