Position Overview
The Graphic Designer & Multimedia Specialist will design and produce engaging visual content across digital, print, and video platforms. From campaign and fundraising event materials to social media and storytelling visuals, this role plays a vital part in how our mission is seen and felt. In addition to core design work, this individual will manage visual content across channels, support video storytelling, and ensure consistent branding across the organization.

The ideal candidate is a highly creative, collaborative, and organized self-starter with strong design and video editing skills who thrives in a mission-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Branding

  • Develop and produce high-quality print and digital materials including brochures, flyers, signage, invitations, annual reports, infographics, and branded collateral
  • Support campaign and event collateral such as pledge cards, awards, PowerPoint decks, and donor recognition signage
  • Create materials for workplace giving, donor engagement, and community partner campaigns
  • Ensure brand consistency across all internal and external materials

Multimedia & Video Production

  • Plan, shoot, and edit short-form videos for storytelling, campaigns, social media, and events
  • Create animations and motion graphics using Adobe After Effects
  • Produce photography including staff headshots and event documentation
  • Manage the video and photography asset library and organize digital files for ease of use

Digital & Social Media Support

  • Design social media graphics, story templates, and reels to increase digital engagement
  • Partner with the communications team to support branded content calendars
  • Support content development for email marketing campaigns (headers, banners, image editing)

Website & Email Visuals

  • Update and maintain visuals on the organization’s website to reflect timely campaigns and key events
  • Ensure consistency in design and user experience across online platforms

Creative Project Management

  • Track timelines for multiple creative projects using project management tools
  • Liaise with internal teams and external vendors to ensure timely, high-quality output
  • Stay current on design trends and recommend creative solutions aligned with nonprofit goals

Print & Vendor Coordination

  • Prepare print-ready files and coordinate with vendors to ensure quality and budget alignment
  • Source branded merchandise and event materials when needed

Qualifications & Skills

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Multimedia Arts, Visual Communications, or related field preferred.

Experience: 2+ years of experience in graphic design and video production, preferably in a nonprofit or mission-driven organization.

Technical Proficiency:

  • Advanced Adobe Creative Suite skills (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effects)
  • Strong knowledge of layout design, branding, and visual storytelling
  • Experience with photography, videography, lighting, and editing
  • Familiarity with Canva or Vista Create, content management systems, and email platforms (e.g., Mailchimp, Constant Contact)

Compensation & Benefits

Salary: $53,000–$58,000/year, depending on experience and qualifications
