About

United Way of the Tri-Valley Area is a vibrant, caring organization that works hard every day to improve people’s lives. We can’t wave a magic wand to simply make everything better in an instant. But, by working in partnership with donors, organizations, school districts, municipalities, volunteers, and people just like you, we are changing lives, every day.

United Way of the Tri-Valley Area was established in 1981 to serve all the communities in Franklin County, as well as Livermore and Livermore Falls. We are a member of United Way Worldwide but is an independent 501(c)(3) organization locally governed.

Vision

United Way of the Tri-Valley Area seeks solutions to meet immediate basic human needs, and create long lasting positive change.

Mission

United Way of the Tri-Valley Area strives to unite people and resources to improve lives and build a strong and healthy community. It does this by identifying local needs and addressing their root causes, raising funds to meet those needs, and collaborating on local initiatives that create a measurable difference in Greater Franklin County.

Goals

When you join forces with United Way, you don't simply change lives, you change your community. The serious problems that devastate people's lives, and threaten the welfare of our entire community are many and varied. However, most arise from the same set of root causes. Root causes that we, at United Way, in collaboration with our community partners are working hard to eliminate.

United Way of the Tri-Valley Area has set ambitious goals. By allocating to non-profit organizations that provide services in our local area, building the capacity of local organizations, and coordinating or participating in local initiatives we can achieve the following goals:

1. Increase access to and awareness of technology

2. Help our community become more mobile with a focus on volunteer rides and car repair programs

3. Improve financial stability and increase independence with a focus on preparing teens and young adults to develop financial literacy skills; fund programs that raise youth aspirations

4. Improve health with a focus on increasing access to and consumption of healthy food and increasing mental health resources
