The United Way of Tarrant County gets results that change our community. For more than 90 years the Organization has invested resources where they are needed most, in local programs that have the greatest impact in the areas of education, income and health. It also operates a 2-1-1 Texas information and referral service and serves as an Area Agency on Aging (AAA).
United Way employs an average of 97 people divided among its main operations, 2-1-1 and AAA. Hundreds of people are involved in the Organization as volunteers through its Education, Income and Health Impact Councils and annual fundraising campaign.
United Way of Tarrant County raises more than $30 million annually to advance its work. About two-thirds of that amount comes from the annual campaign, with much of the remaining revenue coming from grants. The Organization has a strong reputation in the community and a committed Board of Directors that meets six times a year.
