Foothills United Way

About

Foothills United Way, serving Boulder and Broomfield counties, Colorado, has recently implemented a new business model designed with community input.  Our vision is a community working together in which all people can achieve their full potential.  We pursue that with a focus on Attainable Housing, Strengthening Families for Early Childhood Success, and Community Resilience.

With strong relationships across sectors (business, government, nonprofit, faith, schools) we encourage and support collaborative work between partners.  Our grants are invested in partnered solutions, in which collaborating organizations implement coordinated strategies toward an agreed-upon community goal.  With a strong asset base of over 600 charities in our community, our role is to incentivize nonprofits to leverage their collective power by working together, rather than independently.

Believing it's important to lead by example, Foothills United Way is a partner in a unique and powerful Funders Collaborative in our area, made up of the top five human services funders who agree to share data, strategies and pursue co-funding opportunities to jointly produce significant community outcomes.
