This position is responsible for researching, writing, and managing grant proposals that align with organizational goals and community priorities. The Coordinator collaborates with staff, community partners, and funders to build strong cases for support, ensure compliance with grant requirements, and demonstrate measurable impact. This role combines strategic research, persuasive writing, and relationship-building to strengthen United Way’s ability to create lasting change.Key ResponsibilitiesGrant Research and DevelopmentResearch and identify relevant grant opportunities from government agencies, private foundations, and corporate sponsorsAnalyze funding trends and opportunities that align with organizational goals and community needsWrite compelling grant proposals that include detailed narratives using community and program data, project budgets, and measurable outcomesCollaborate with program staff to gather data and articulate the impact of proposed initiativesInput and maintain accurate information on assigned accounts using CRM systemMonitor and track grant application deadlines, reporting requirements, and compliancePrepare and submit required progress reports, ensuring timely and accurate communication with fundersMaintain detailed records of grant activities, including submissions, awards, and outcomesUse evaluation findings to refine future proposals and communicate the organization’s impactCommunity EngagementBuild and maintain relationships with funders, donors, and community partners to enhance fundraising opportunitiesAssist in planning and executing fundraising events and engagement initiativesRepresent the organization at public events, advocacy efforts, and networking opportunities to raise awareness and build partnershipsAdditional ResponsibilitiesProvide support to other departments and core functions of United Way including operations, marketing, and community impact to advance our missionEducation and Experience We welcome applicants with diverse backgrounds and recognize that various combinations of education and experience can contribute to the necessary knowledge and abilities for this role.
