We’re looking for a strategic and mission-driven leader to serve as our Director of Resource Development, a high-impact role at the core of our organization. This isn’t a back-office position. This is your chance to own and lead a vital department, shaping fundraising strategy, cultivating powerful partnerships, and fueling our mission. You’ll report directly to the President, serve on the leadership team, and guide a driven team while growing corporate engagement, sponsorships, and major gifts across the county.What you’ll doYour department is the fuel that powers our mission. As Director, you’ll own the strategy, lead the team, and drive community investment into our initiatives. If you’re a builder, connector, and bold communicator, this is your stage to elevate both our brand, and your own! Every day is going to look a little different, but you can expect the following:<ul><li>Own the strategy and execution of our annual campaign and all corporate engagement efforts</li><li>Lead a team of 2-3 relationship managers providing coaching, accountability, and problem-solving support</li><li>Manage top donor accounts</li><li>Be the face of United Way at events, meetings, and throughout the community</li><li>Leverage CRM and donor insights to drive decisions and demonstrate impact</li><li>Launch new partnerships, deepen donor experiences, and contribute to long-term financial sustainability</li><li>Work alongside the leadership team and provide departmental updates often to our board of directors</li></ul>&nbsp;What you need to thrive in this role<ul><li>5+ years of United Way experience a must; fundraising, corporate partnerships, and major gifts (2+ years managing teams or strategies)</li><li>Proven record of hitting and exceeding fundraising goals</li><li>Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills with business and community leaders</li><li>Strategic mindset with comfort in public speaking and CRM tools</li><li>Willingness to travel locally often and work occasional evenings/weekends to attend events</li></ul>About usChanging lives and strengthening our community. We are looking for a Director of Community Impact who will ensure&nbsp;that every program and investment truly makes a difference. Here, you’ll not only get to make a difference in your community but also make sure that everything we’re doing is making the greatest impact possible.&nbsp;For this role, you’ll work from our office in Rockledge when you’re not traveling within the county.&nbsp;What you’ll do:As the Director of Community Impact, you will serve as both a program manager and community liaison, working directly with local nonprofits to understand community needs, review grant requests, and help decide how United Way dollars are invested to drive the greatest impact. In addition to guiding external partnerships, you’ll also manage United Way’s own internal programs, ensuring they are effectively designed, implemented, and aligned with community priorities.As a member of the leadership team, you’ll drive the strategy and execution of our community impact agenda, ensuring resources are invested wisely, outcomes are measured, and stories of impact inspire action. You’ll lead a team of 2 to start, and may have the ability to grow your team. Every day will look a little different, but you can expect the following:<ul><li>Lead the development and execution of community impact programs, initiatives, and projects</li><li>Oversee the annual fund distribution process and ensure accountability with partner agencies</li><li>Identify and pursue grant opportunities to expand community impact</li><li>Supervise and support volunteers when needed</li><li>Represent United Way in the community through speaking engagements, partnerships, and committees</li><li>Analyze and share results to showcase the impact of donor investments</li><li>Organize community needs assessments and special events that align with our mission</li><li>Manage a team of 2, providing coaching, accountability, and problem-solving support</li></ul>What you need to thrive in this role:<ul><li>3+ years of nonprofit experience in program evaluation, fund distribution, policy, public affairs, and/or budgeting (2+ years managing teams or strategies)</li><li>Prior United Way experience required</li><li>Strong ability to connect with corporate leaders, donors, and community members</li><li>Excellent communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills</li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite</li><li>Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (40% in-county travel)</li><li>Strategic mindset with comfort in public speaking and CRM tools</li><li>Willingness to travel locally often and work occasional evenings/weekends to attend events</li></ul>About us Changing lives and strengthening our community.
