POSITION SUMMARY Gain hands-on experience by supporting the planning and coordination of HFUW Events and Experiences, including in-person events, volunteer outings, and corporate activities. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES &amp; ESSENTIAL DUTIES OF POSITION An individual must be able to perform each essential duty listed below at a satisfactory level:<ul><li>Assist with frequent offsite and onsite events, including volunteer outings and corporate group activities.</li><li>Support outreach and volunteer recruitment activities.</li><li>Assist with the marketing, coordination, and logistics of events and projects.</li><li>Update and maintain Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system and volunteer database.</li><li>Provide meeting support, including setup, notetaking, and observation.</li><li>Develop in-depth knowledge of Heart of Florida United Way events and experiences.</li><li>Help with the inventory and distribution of event supplies and equipment.</li><li>Assist in collecting participant success stories to highlight program achievements.</li><li>Maintain client and staff confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA, FIPA, PHI, PII requirements.</li><li>May be classified as essential, requiring prompt and effective action during critical situations to ensure the safety and well-being of the community.</li><li>Contribute to overall organizational success by performing other duties and responsibilities as assigned.</li></ul> JOB REQUIREMENTS Job requirements include:<ul><li>High School diploma or equivalent; pursuing a degree in a related field such as event management, hospitality and tourism, or nonprofit management is required.</li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required, with intermediate experience in Excel preferred.</li><li>Customer service skills and experience required.</li><li>Attention to detail and accuracy.</li><li>Ability to develop multitasking skills and adapt to a fast-paced environment.</li><li>Ability to learn to work independently with minimal supervision.</li><li>Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with strong listening abilities.</li><li>Ability to utilize organizational skills effectively.</li><li>Must have access to a private, secure, and stable high-speed internet connection.</li><li>Must have access to a quiet, confidential workspace.</li></ul> COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS Communications - Ability to communicate effectively.&nbsp; Business Ethics - Ability to work with integrity and ethics.&nbsp; Judgment - Ability to use sound judgement.&nbsp; Initiative - Ability to take initiative.&nbsp; Teamwork - Ability to work in a team environment.
