S/he will oversee various internal and external projects while managing CI staff and ensuring their success. This individual will manage and provide leadership and guidance related to programs, grants and grantmaking, agency relations, policy and advocacy, and direct supervision, advisement, and professional development to staff.&nbsp; The Director of Community Impact will provide consultative support to key UWBG leadership to ensure consistent and effective approaches to UWBG programs are conducted across the organization. POSITIONThe role of the VITA Coordinator is to assist and support the Manager, Financial Stability in providing leadership for all VITA sites. The coordinator assists with all relevant VITA programming, including volunteer recruitment, tax site administration, volunteer and site coordinator training, and marketing. The individual works to further UWBG’s impact in Financial Stability through partnership development, program development and implementation, and communication about program/initiative success.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS<ul><li>Serves as secondary program contact for VITA to the public, tax sites, and the IRS; responds to inquiries as needed.</li><li>Implements volunteer recruitment plan; maintains volunteer records and provides ongoing correspondence to volunteers. Position Title: Manager, Administrative Services 
Reports to: President 
 

Purpose of the Position: 
 
Assures the efficient operation of the organization. 
 
Maintains all campaign, accounts receivable and accounts payable processing with the highest degree of accuracy 
in coordination with third party accounting service. 
 
Provides essential administration and support for the Kentucky Employees Charitable Campaign and other 
statewide initiatives. 
 
Nurtures and maintains services and relationships with all external partners. 
 
Key Responsibility Area: Customer, Partner and Board Relations 

ï· Develops a “customer-centered” environment. 
ï· Responds with a sense of urgency to support requests of staff, customers, directors and colleagues. 
ï· Supports administrative needs for all partnerships, contracts, grants and initiatives. 
ï· Board and local United Way member engagement. 

 
Key Responsibility Area: Accounting and Financial Management 

ï· Responsible for facilitating the receipt and disbursement of all funds with strict adherence to the policies 
and guidelines of the President, accounting service and the Board of Directors.

ï· Holds primary responsibility for the tracking and administration of the organization’s accounting records,

the President and Treasurer.

distribution to United Ways, volunteer coordinators and other key personnel.

ï· Provides support to coordinators, field offices, and participating charitable partners as requested.

Qualifications 

Bachelor’s Degree or an Associate’s Degree plus related experience required, with advanced training or significant 
experience in bookkeeping, electronic data processing, project management, computer and secretarial skills. 
 
Excellent organizational and communications skills. Ability to develop and maintain successful working 
relationships with members, volunteers, the general public and other members of the staff. 
 
Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, Quickbooks, bookkeeping and database management. 
Willingness to travel in Kentucky and to work non-standard hours when needed.
