United Way of Johnson County Executive Director serves as the primary leader and strategist for the organization, overseeing it’s overall operations, growth and impact to the community to advance the organizations mission to organize caring people to identify and meet human needs in our community.Primary Duties and Responsibilities:<ul><li>Oversee all fundraising and advancement efforts including annual residential and workplace campaigns, grant seeking opportunities, event-based fundraising and supporter acquisition and cultivation efforts.&nbsp;</li><li>Oversee all grantmaking efforts from the solicitation of applications and the convening of community allocation and review panels to the eventual disbursement of funds.&nbsp;</li><li>Oversee the management of financial resources, including accurate record keeping, regular reporting, and budgeting.</li><li>Oversee all marketing efforts, including fostering positive relationships with agency partners, business leaders, government entities, and current and prospective donors.</li><li>Oversee all United Way of Johnson County programming, including, Fast Track, Day of Caring, and Christmas Angels, No Place to Call Home and Helpline.&nbsp;</li><li>Oversee all United Way of Johnson County&nbsp; &nbsp;staff and volunteers including building and leading high-performing teams, ensuring alignment and collaboration to achieve organizational results.&nbsp;</li><li>Work closely with United Way of Johnson County Board of Directors to achieve strategic initiatives.</li><li>Serve as a champion for the United Way of Johnson County’s work and impact within the community.</li></ul>Minimum Qualifications:<ul><li>Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science&nbsp;</li><li>Five (5) years of management experience&nbsp;</li><li>Experience on issues relevant to the organization, such as work force development, financial stability and poverty</li><li>Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic plans and drive organizational success</li><li>Proven ability to build teams, develop partnerships and build collaboration</li><li>Must demonstrate a high level of intelligence and intellectual curiosity and a desire to explore new ideas and innovative approaches to solving problems</li><li>Project and/or program management experience with a demonstrated ability to develop, implement and execute to achieve desired outcomes</li><li>Passion for social impact and Community Service</li><li>Proven track record of integrity with a demonstrated ability to build trust</li></ul>The Ideal Candidate<ul><li>Previous or current United Way Experience</li><li>Bachelor of Arts or Science in a related field</li><li>Five plus years of management experience in the non-profit sector</li><li>Johnson County Resident</li><li>Expertise on issues relevant to the organization, such as work force development, financial stability and poverty</li><li>All other items listed above</li></ul>

Executive Director 

United Ways of Texas seeks a highly motivated professional to serve as the Director of Finance and Administration. This position requires a highly motivated individual with excellent organizational skills and can work well in a remote environment. Additionally, this position requires an individual with drive and positive attitude; is committed to customer service and teamwork; has the ability to multi-task; has excellent communication skills, and, is focused on achieving results. The Director of Finance and Administration reports directly to the President/CEO.&nbsp;Essential Functions • Prepares financial statements • Reconciles bank statements and general ledger accounts, ensures accuracy and timely resolution of issues • Uses QuickBooks and accounting principles to prepare reports • Budget planning and development • Cash flow analysis and forecast • Makes recommendations related to financial trends, economic and public sector forecasts • Verifies payroll and 401k reports and makes necessary bank transfers • Prepares monthly invoices and payments, verifies accuracy • Uses accounting principles, ensures revenue allocation balances with statements • Interacts frequently with staff and management to provide information or reports or to receive directive or clarification on assigned duties • Prepares 1099 reporting • Enters invoices for payment (receiving) and checks reports after data entry • Prepares standard journal entries and enters adjustments as needed for monthly financials • Responds to payment inquiries, requests, statements and processes correspondence • Updates and maintains vendor files, ensuring correct and complete W-9 documentation • Follows financials policies and procedures as outlined by the organization and board of directors • Handles human resource related issues • Keep insurance, benefits, and other enrollment benefits up to date • Prepares audit related documents and works directly with auditors to completion • Performs other related duties incidental to the work described herein.&nbsp;Salaried full-time position at $75,000 - $80,000 with excellent benefits, including employer paid medical, dental, and vision. This position will report directly to the CEO.
