General Description:&nbsp;This grant-funded position will work to empower communities to promote drug free lifestyles; build community structures to support those lifestyles; and encourage and support coordinated, systemic approaches to the prevention of substance use. This position is responsible for identifying, writing, and managing grant applications, as well as maintaining relationships with funders, coordinating grant-related reporting, and supporting strategic initiatives.Key Responsibilities<ol><li>Grant Research &amp; Identification<ul><li>Conduct thorough research to identify grant opportunities that align with the organization’s mission and programs.</li><li>Maintain a calendar of grant opportunities, deadlines, and reporting requirements.</li></ul></li><li>Grant Writing &amp; Submission<ul><li>Write compelling grant proposals and applications tailored to funder requirements.</li><li>Collaborate with program staff to develop accurate budgets and gather program-specific data for grant submissions.</li><li>Ensure timely submission of all grant applications, renewals, and reports.</li></ul></li><li>Grant Management<ul><li>Monitor the implementation of grant-funded programs to ensure compliance with funder guidelines.</li><li>Maintain accurate records of all grants, including applications, budgets, communications, and reports.</li><li>Track expenditures and ensure proper allocation of funds in collaboration with the finance team.</li></ul></li><li>Funder Relationship Management<ul><li>Build and maintain relationships with current and potential funders, including foundations, government agencies, and corporate partners.</li><li>Coordinate and participate in funder site visits, calls, and meetings as necessary.</li></ul></li><li>Reporting &amp; Evaluation<ul><li>Prepare and submit interim and final reports to funders, including outcomes, impact, and financial updates.</li><li>Collaborate with program staff to evaluate and measure the success of grant-funded programs.</li></ul></li><li>Strategic Planning<ul><li>Work with leadership to identify funding priorities and develop long-term grant strategies.</li><li>Stay informed about trends and changes in the funding landscape, including government policies and foundation priorities.</li></ul></li></ol>UNITED WAY CORE COMPETENCIES FOR ALL STAFF&nbsp;Mission-Focused: Catalyze others’ commitment to mission to create real social change that leads to better lives and healthier communities.
