General Description: The Family Stability Program Manager will assist in the operational oversight of Family Stability staff including recruiting, hiring, training, and supervision of staff and interns. The incumbent will ensure that services are delivered in accordance with current agency policies and procedures, contract requirements, and regulations. This position provides case management to families using a 2-gen approach.  The approach would consider the needs of both vulnerable children and parents, together, in the design and delivery of program coordination and services in an education environment onsite in Hallandale Beach, particularly with those with financial instability and risk of homelessness related conditions. Primary Job Responsibilities &amp; Duties: <ol><li>Responsible for day-to-day operations of Family Stability team, to include staff supervision, performance accountability and ensuring each team member is appropriately suited for their role. </li><li>Provide on-going support/oversight to family stability program staff ensuring service delivery is in accordance with COA requirements, and are client centered, focused and trauma informed. </li><li>Assists Director in coordination of subcontracted partners to ensure that goals are being met in accordance with Siemer Institute program guidelines.</li><li>Reviews and approves all subcontractor emergency financial assistance, quarterly/monthly invoices, and reports to ensure compliance with subcontract agreement and Siemer Institute grant agreement.</li><li>Supports the implementation of services by orienting staff to program regulations and requirements, goals and objectives, operational and reporting procedures to facilitate adherence to contract parameters. </li><li>Develops and implements strategy to ensure efficiency and productivity in the key Family Stability program areas of outreach, case management, and housing. </li><li>Responsible for identifying strengths, needs and risks for participants and their families to develop short- and long-term goals related to housing stability and financial prosperity. Lead participants through the process of creating an individualized service plan to help ensure that relevant resources, services, and activities participants need to reach their goals are included in their care coordination experience. </li><li>Develops or updates service plans with participants and their families to address their needs and to facilitate referral to appropriate treatment or service providers or facilities.</li><li>Counsels participants and/or their families to facilitate achieving service plan goals, developing life skills, and/or sustaining success and wellness.</li><li>Conducts activities in a culturally responsive manner and monitors the service environment to maximize participant success and well-being.</li><li>Manages an annual caseload of 10-20 students and their family unit.</li></ol>Other Job Duties: <ul><li>Advocates on behalf of clients and families for services, basic needs, and other related issues. </li><li>Composes or prepares correspondence, case notes, narrative and technical reports, notifications, and related documents using computer-based applications.</li><li>Conduct comprehensive, client-centered social work activities in accordance with best practices.</li><li>Conducts community and home visits (if needed) related to client needs; Provides follow-up and monitors service delivery and care environments.</li><li>Stays abreast of community resources and procedures for referring clients to appropriate resources.</li><li>Facilitates case consultation for client situations. </li><li>Establish case plan goals and will review with clients. </li><li>Monitor client progress to ensure that clients are working towards a resolution of identified challenges.</li><li>Ensure successful case closure, documentation, and transition.</li><li>Provides crisis prevention, intervention, and supportive counseling, as needed. </li><li>Performs other duties and assumes other responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.</li><li>Due to the leadership role United Way is called upon to play in the community, particularly during times of crisis, it is the expectation that all United Way staff will be fully engaged in the organization's crisis plan and response efforts.</li><li>Responds to and develops solutions to client issues and needs as they arise.</li><li>Works in conjunction with outreach team to increase community outreach efforts, conduct service presentations and attends outreach events. </li><li>Serve as liaison to other community agencies, governmental entities, and institutions to further the goals of the program.</li><li>Ensures that all reports and correspondence related to the grant are completed on time.</li><li>Works in collaboration with the Director drafting grant reports. </li><li>Responsible for monitoring contracted outcomes as well as the client satisfaction surveys.</li><li>Coordinates the efforts of key staff members to ensure that data entry and reports are completed by the specified deadlines. </li><li>Maintains accurate and updated electronic files of Clients and services provided.</li><li>Research promising and best practice models for client services and provides recommendations to the leadership team.</li><li>Coordinates activities and communications with appropriate community partners.</li><li>Conducts periodic internal trainings and in services to instruct and provide guidance to the Family Stability team. </li><li>Maintains all records and documentation for all UWBC Family Stability program activities necessary for accountability.</li><li>Conducts monthly case staffing and performance assessment meetings.</li></ul>Supervises: Family Stability Care Coordinators and Program SpecialistsEducation &amp; Experience: <ul><li>Master’s Degree in Social Work, Human Services, Public Administration, or Bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years of experience in human service delivery and/or administration required.</li><li>Work experience in direct clinical case management is required. </li><li>At least four 4 years of experience in social case work, counseling, eligibility determination, social service or community resource referral, or closely related work.</li><li>Administrative and supervisory experience working with staff and volunteers required.</li><li>Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse audience. </li><li>Strong organizational, project management, and interpersonal skills.</li><li>Knowledge of general interviewing practices and/or techniques; Physical Demands: The environment is climate controlled (i.e., heated and air-conditioned).  Lighting is adequate through overhead lighting as well as windows and blinds. United Way Miami is hiring a Program Officer, Community Impact to join our team. As a Program Officer, Community Impact, contribute to the development and execution of United Way’s work including research, community engagement, strategic planning, investment processes management and grant monitoring, and execution of special initiatives. 
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
<ul><li>Contribute to the development and execution of a results-based, goal-driven roadmap to achievement of positive outcomes in Miami-Dade County; includes research and community engagement to develop briefs; public policy issue identification and policy analysis; among others. Explore and secure partnerships with other community organizations. </li>
<li>Contribute to the successful implementation of priority tactics within the maps and effective management of various investment processes and grant monitoring activities. Monitor assigned Impact Area agencies by conducting site visits, reviewing and recording progress and data, preparing reports and promotional materials, and lending technical assistance. </li>
<li>Effectively staff assigned Impact Council volunteers and act as a resource with a focus on services and target population.</li>
<li>Provide creative and effective support staffing to United Way initiatives. This includes working resourcefully with UW collaborators and staff to plan, implement, evaluate, and follow up on special events and activities related to strategic planning and the preparation of work plans.</li>
<li>Maintain effective relationships with public and private social service organizations, on behalf of United Way initiatives, by attending appropriate community, organizational and committee meetings.  Keep abreast of community programs and public policy issues, and attend community meetings and events in representation of the United Way.</li>
<li>Manage assigned UW agency campaigns and other matrix assignments, as needed.                                                                                                                         </li>
</ul>Education Requirements: Bachelor’s degree minimum; Master’s preferred or equivalent experience.  
Experience Requirements:  One to three years experience in the non-profit/social.
