	This position is responsible for the management of individual donor engagement which includes the following groups:  Community Gifts, Leadership Society, Major Gifts, Planned Giving, and the supervision of staff assigned to manage these donor groups.  Develop, manage, and implement effective strategies and tactics to cultivate new relationships, increase donor engagement, and in turn increase financial contributions from strategic donor groups to United Way’s annual campaign.  Provide professional customer care to individual donors and volunteers, ensuring quality follow through and overall satisfaction.  This position reports to the Vice President, Resource Development.
	RESPONSIBILITIES 
	Include the following, but are not limited to:
	DIVISON MANAGEMENT
<ul><li>Monitor staff performance to strategic goals/expectations and provide timely coaching &amp; feedback.</li>
<li>Assist staff in identifying and managing top prospects within their assigned portfolios.</li>
<li>Manage staff projects and committees as assigned as well as special assignments required by other divisions.</li>

<li>Refocus public perception of United Way from a three-month campaign to a year-round community impact leader in communications and interactions with customers.</li>

	TOCQUEVILLE SOCIETY PROGRAM MANAGEMENT
<ul><li>Manage portfolio of Jane Bradley Pettit Society members, Tocqueville Donors, and Prospects.</li>
<li>Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward major gift donors ($10,000+) inside and outside the workplace.</li>
<li>Design the strategy to recruit, cultivate and/or steward major gifts donors and qualified prospects by using marketing materials, working with other Resource Development staff, planning events and other engagement opportunities.</li>
<li>Work collaboratively with Resource Development Account Managers to identify major gifts prospects from the Workplace Campaign.</li>
<li>Work closely with Tocqueville Society Cabinet members.</li>
<li>Oversee the Major Gifts Communications calendar and timeline, as well as other key communication to donors from United Way leadership.</li>

<li>Research local/ regional/national CSR plans of current and potential donors to create strategic volunteer engagement opportunities that align with corporate philanthropic interests.</li>
<li>Cultivate new volunteer engagement relationships with Professional Associations and Employee Resource Groups/Business Resource Groups.</li>
<li>Manage and mentor seasonal employee to support volunteer engagement division during the annual campaign.</li>
<li>Ensures data compliance with United Way’s existing internal donor management systems, managing the collection of corporate engagement activities, interests, key contacts, and other information that aligns with strategic and relationship building priorities.</li>
<li>Develop and cultivate year-round relationships with company volunteer engagement coordinators and professional organization contacts.</li>
<li>Support the volunteer thank you and feedback solicitation process by developing impact reports for sponsors, distributing surveys, and analyzing feedback for continuous improvements.</li>
<li>Work with a temporary volunteer engagement staff member.</li>

	QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree required from a four-year college or university in marketing and/or communications, business, nonprofit management, etc.</li>
<li>4-6 years of directly related experience or equivalent combination in volunteer management, customer service, project management, and event planning.</li>
<li>Excellent written, verbal and presentation communication skills.</li>
<li>Experience in excelling in high demand, customer-focused roles.</li>
</ul>
