The Supervisor Position is responsible for providing day-to-day operations for PA 211 East’s

Responsibilities: 

 • Manage 211 operations by implementing policies and procedures that ensure 
delivery of high-quality information and referral services to all callers. 

 • Coach and develop the team of Resource Navigators by monitoring call handling, 
review caller records and providing feedback. 

 • Manage performance of the team by setting expectations and performance 
standards through 1v1’s and performance reviews. 

 • Oversee and manage team schedules to ensure fully staffed. 
 • Represent PA 211 East in the community. 


Qualifications: 

 • Bachelor’s degree in social work or equivalent work experience in health and human 
services field. 

 • Bilingual in Spanish and English a plus 
 • A Valid Driver’s License is required 
 • Clearances are required with relevance to the position 


This is full–time, Monday – Friday.

The Resource Development Associate position will work as a cross functional member of 
the RD team fulfilling various fundraising duties as necessitated by events and activities 
throughout the fiscal year and to engage donors across the donor cycle, while acting in 
accordance with our values, vision, and mission. 

Responsibilities: 

 • Work closely with the Director of Stewardship to plan and implement workplace 
campaigns and year-round donor engagement activities. 

 • Assist with developing workplace giving campaign strategies to create tailored 
engagement plans for participating companies. 

 • Manage portfolio of assigned corporate accounts to assist in the planning and 
implementation of workplace giving campaigns. 

 • Foster relationships with key stakeholders at companies participating in workplace 
campaigns to deepen the company’s commitment and that of their employees to 
increase participation, retention, and potential revenue. 

 • Assist Director of RD with implementing strategies to grow the number of individual 
leadership level donors through qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and 
stewardship. 

 • Conduct discovery visits to assess, cultivate, and solicit a portfolio of leadership 
annual giving prospects for gifts between $1,000 and $5,000. 

 • Develop a cultivation and stewardship strategy to engage and retain new and young 
adult donors. 

 • Assist with the management of special donor groups, such as Women United 
 • Assist in developing and carrying out overall donor stewardship plans and activities. 
 • Partner with the Development and Marketing teams to plan and carry out 

fundraising, donor stewardship, and community engagement events. 
 • Develop and participate in presentations to raise awareness of the impact of United 

Way funding and programs throughout Lancaster County.

Controller

POSITION SUMMARY/SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY The Senior Director of Finance and Administration is responsible for the successful operation and ongoing development of United Way of Lincoln and Lancaster County (UWLLC) and United Way of Lincoln and Lancaster County Foundation’s (Foundation) financial systems and its internal controls including budgeting, auditing, accounting, financial reporting, grant accounting, investment and cash flow oversight, and governmental reporting. This role is also responsible for aspects of the organization’s Human Resource function including payroll, administration of employee health insurance plans and management and oversight for the employee retirement plan. The Senior Director is responsible for administrative oversight including, but not limited to organizational policies and procedures, insurance coverage and compliance, facilities asset management and technology infrastructure. The Senior Director also serves as an integral member of the UWLLC Management Team providing input and decision making at a leadership level and serves as the primary liaison for all financial matters to the Finance Committee and Board of Directors. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Finance  Responsible for the effective and efficient operation of the financial accounting and reporting system for both UWLLC and Foundation.  Ensure financial reporting complies with all General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Standards.  Ensure financial reporting complies with United Way Worldwide requirements for member United Ways.  Effectively manage cash flow.  Perform and oversee bookkeeping duties including payment processing, invoicing, tax and other receipts, data entry, filing, vendor payment, accuracy verification, recording and bank reconciliations.  Facilitate and ensure fidelity to donor designations.  Supervise and perform the accounting and reporting of funds raised on behalf of other United Ways and federations for public sector workplace campaigns, and other non-local campaigns.  Effectively present critical financial detail, advise and assist the Board and the Executive Director in the management of assets and investments for both United Way of Lincoln and Lancaster County and Foundation.  Coordinate and lead the annual consolidated audit process, liaise with external auditors and the finance committee and the board of directors; assess any changes necessary.  Recruit, organize, attend, and actively engage the Finance Committee. Attend and actively participate in Executive Committee and Board of Directors meetings, representing financial matters.  Consult with the Board Treasurer as needed to ensure transparency and accountability. Prepare monthly and present quarterly financial statements to the Finance Committee and Board of Directors.  Oversee, lead and execute annual budgeting and planning process in conjunction with the Executive Director; administer and review all financial plans and budgets; monitor progress and changes; and keep leadership team abreast of the organization’s financial status.Maintain a robust contracts/grant management and financial management and reporting system. Oversee financials of project/program grants and perform grants accounting.  Ensure that all contract billing and collection schedules are adhered to, and that financial data and cash flow are steady and support operational requirements.  Conduct contract review. Administration  Serve as the primary point of contact for Human Resources responsibilities and ensure fidelity to legal requirements.  Maintain and prepare the organization’s payroll, benefits programs and related records.  Update and implement all necessary business policies and accounting practices; including human resource and finance department’s overall policy and procedure manuals  Assume responsibility for special projects as assigned by the Executive Director  Draw on relationships with department heads, external partners, and contracted service providers (accounting, fundraising, IT, HR) to make decisions regarding operational activity and strategic goals. MA in Accounting or Finance and/or CPA strongly preferred.  7-10 years professional, industry and/or nonprofit/human service management experience.
