The Workplace Fundraising Specialist will help advance the mission of United Way of Central Indiana by: Develop, retain, and significantly grow the level of financial support and commitment to United Way of Central Indiana (UWCI). Maintain and continuously develop relationships with key constituents at various levels within assigned corporate accounts to optimize annual workplace giving campaigns and employee participation. Identify viable opportunities for additional community involvement, financial support, and volunteer engagement with UWCI. Work closely with these constituents to plan, organize, and implement workplace giving campaigns, effective communications related to community needs and impact, and other United Way special event and engagement activities to ensure a successful, stronger, and sustained United Way commitment. This position is also responsible for achieving annual fundraising goals and growth in engagement of employees and corporate efforts in their assigned portfolio. Position Duties & Responsibilities The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed. Fundraising: In conjunction with various UWCI Internal Teams, develop and implement comprehensive and strategic plans designed to maintain and grow the fundraising and participation for corporate partners and their employees. Maintain consistent account contact, timely follow up and engagement to explore and introduce additional UWCI opportunities, as appropriate (volunteerism, sponsorships, etc.). Leverage data to provide strategic, targeted account management plans and excellent customer service. Develop and maintain regular contact and relationships with external corporate account representatives and leadership within assigned portfolio. Identify and coordinate with appropriate UWCI team members regarding opportunities to optimize and leverage these relationships more broadly to attain both fundraising and organizational goals. Be an effective and compelling communicator to advance UWCI's community role and brand value. Create and deliver informative and engaging in-person presentations about UWCI's mission, vision, and impact in front of varying audience sizes to promote donor acquisition, retention, and growth. Assist in development of temporary team members. Work with the Senior Manager to ensure portfolio goals, objectives and expectations reflect and align to the broader goals of the organization. Internal Relationships: Work and collaborate with various UWCI teams to identify, develop and implement opportunities to communicate community impact work and UWCI's mission and priorities to key corporate stakeholders for Central Indiana. In coordination with the Senior Manager implement training, onboarding and support for temporary workplace giving associates during peak workplace campaign season. Ensure account communications, campaign and partnership details are recorded in CRM database. In addition, accurately capture all campaign giving, donation results, and volunteer engagement in a timely manner and in coordination with the finance and fundraising operations team when applicable. Flexibility: UWCI is evolving with our changing external environment. Flexibility is a key attribute for this position. A willingness to take on additional duties to ensure the success of the team is essential. Perform special assignments for development and other work on as needed basis. Travel: Role requires travel 15% - 20% of the time on average within UWCI service area. This individual regularly navigates Salesforce CRM database and utilizes Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint to illustrate data and information to a wide range of audiences. Routinely writes detailed reports and correspondence and responds to questions and/or complaints. Speaks effectively and in a compelling manner before groups of customers, clients, and/or employees of corporate accounts. This individual is a routine problem solver and deals with a variety of concrete variables in situations where standardization exists. Able to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. This individual makes limited decisions and determines the best methods to solve problems by referring to established precedents and policies. Impact of decisions is typically low to moderate cost. Education and/or Experience Bachelor's degree preferred. Experience in fundraising, public administration, sales, marketing, or business administration is preferred. Knowledge of the Central Indiana community and the human service sector is preferred. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, a formidable reputation for integrity and professionalism, ability to resolve conflict constructively, ability to build strong relationships both inside and outside UWCI, ability to think strategically, commitment to fostering an inclusive environment consistent with UWCI's commitment to diversity and inclusion. Must have the ability to prepare and explain performance, manage a diverse group of donors and volunteers, manage projects and workload, and engage constructively with the other members of the UWCI team. *Work experience may substitute for education requirements on a case-by-case basis.
