Over the past two years, United Way of Salt Lake has implemented several transformations to its technology systems. We have launched an instance of Salesforce as a CRM and several related systems that help us interact with volunteers, advocates, event attendees, and donors. We have invested in the development and launch of the Salesforce Philanthropy Cloud, a digital philanthropy platform that will connect tens of thousands of workplace employees to giving and engagement opportunities that drive the biggest results in our community. We have continued to develop technologies that help service providers manage against results and coordinate services for students and families with each other.

We are seeking individuals or organizations to build an understanding of our social change, revenue, and digital engagement goals and to offer recommendations on the technology strategy that we have structured to support them. We are seeking bids focused on assessing our current state, building a technology roadmap, and making recommendations about the steps, staff capacity, and resources that will be required.

All proposals must be received by (Attention: Technology Roadmap) on or before March 23, 2018. UWSL will review proposals and then schedule interviews with one or more applicants. Vendors should anticipate beginning the assignment in early April and completing by mid-May. Proposals must include:

  • Applicant name and contact information (e.g. phone number, email address, website, and phone number)

  • Proposed process, including timeline (750 words or less)

  • Qualifications, including an explanation of how those qualifications meet the project requirements (500 words or less)

  • Resume for key personnel/resumes of key personnel

  • Presentation of costs and rates, including what costs, if any can be provided pro bono or at a discounted

  • An acknowledgment as to whether the applicant has known business relationships with UWSL staff or board members, and a statement as to whether the bid presents any conflict

  • A completed conflict of interest form (see below)

  • 2-3 references from past clients
