LOCATION: All internships take place at the United Way Worldwide Office at 701 N. Fairfax St., Alexandria, VA.

 

TIME FRAME: Summer 2020 Internships will take place from May 11 through July 31.

 

COMPENSATION: Unless noted below, all internships are unpaid. However, a travel stipend will be provided for each intern. United Way Worldwide can also provide academic credit for internship experiences.

INTERN EXPERIENCE AT UNITED WAY WORLDWIDE:

1. Africa Region Operational Support Intern

Position Summary / 25+ hours per week

  • Support the operations of the Africa Advisory Council

2. Business Analyst Intern

Position Summary / 20 hours per week

  • Improving performance management by UWW and for local UWs
  • Translating strategic objectives and effective practices into a set of performance indicators
  • Analyzing large data sets from different sources to create holistic and predictive views.

Primary Projects

  • Improving performance management by UWW of Local United Way markets and for local UWs by custom scorecard designs for markets utilizing Microsoft Excel, Smart Sheets, Salesforce and other data visualization tools.
  • Build local market summaries (scorecards) that allows us to see key measures and indicators at a high level – it should be built into Salesforce as part of UWW CRM solution.
  • Translating strategic objectives and effective practices into a set of performance indicators for our markets and improving existing indicators.
  • Analyzing large data sets from different sources to create holistic and predictive views.

Required Qualifications/Skills

  • Pursuing or obtained bachelor's degree in computer science, business, finance, or other related field; Business Requirements gathering, scorecard design, predictive modeling experience preferred; Experience with business analytics and/or data analysis, predictive modeling and forecasting; Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Excel, Smart Sheets and Salesforce is required

3. Cause Marketing Intern

Position Summary / 20 hours per week

The Cause Marketing Intern will support the Director, Cause Marketing in a variety of areas including general support of UWW’s cause marketing partnerships including prospect research, preparing materials for key partnerships, and overall account and project management support.

This position will also have the opportunity to work across our broader digital services, legal, finance, marketing, and communications teams.

Primary Projects

  • Prospect research and pipeline tracking Prepare materials for cause marketing partnerships including partner briefings, pitch decks, project timelines, content, deliverables, reports and other ad-hoc needs as they arise
  • Develop strong relationships with internal stakeholders and work across teams to direct projects and update project timelines as needed

4. Communications Intern - 211 Team

Position Summary / 20 hours per week

The 211 team at United Way Worldwide (211 UWW Team) provides coordination at the national level to a diverse network of over 200 211s teams across the country. 211 is a vital community service accessed by millions of Americans every year. People call 211 for help with a wide range of social services and resources, including food, housing, utilities payment assistance, health care, transportation, childcare, employment opportunities, and more. The 211 UWW Team is seeking an intern to support its efforts to provide national project coordination, and data support to the 211 Network. 

Primary Projects

These may include, but are not limited to:

  • Identifying and capturing best practices, including donor engagement, and media mentions of 211 to be used in network communications and future reports
  • Researching, identifying and implementing new opportunities to communicate with 211 network and track activities within the network, including developing and implementing a social media strategy for 211
  • Creating content for and/or seek opportunities to share "evergreen" news stories about 211 with national trade journals/media outlets and other national associations that intersect with issues addressed by 211
  • Supporting efforts to secure grants, contracts, and funding by conducting research, surveys, etc.
  • Exploring and designing an improved national data collection strategy to capture 211 impact
  • Researching topical issues to support the development of tools and resources for UWW 211 and local 211s

5. Customer Innovation Intern

Position Summary / 21 hours per week

  • Assist in the research and management of products that are in development for our corporate customers
  • Research & analyze trends for specific audiences to increase engagement on Philanthropy Cloud
  • Stay up to date on content trends to provide best practice recommendations that increase participation

6. Data Visualization Intern

Position Summary / 18-35 hours per week

  • Develop Smartsheet dashboards that visualize survey results for webinars, leadership programs, and all-staff events
  • Using Salesforce, assist with data imports, quality monitoring, and maintaining data integrity through data cleansing and de-duplication.
  • Generate reports to track key data metrics related to internship programming using Microsoft Office and other data analytics tools.

  • Possesses data management skill/experience; Experienced or willingness to learn Salesforce, Smartsheet and other CRM systems; Strong research, grammar, and writing skills; Ability to translate ideas into dynamic and captivating visuals; Ability to interface with all levels of the organization

7. Digital Services Intern, Marketing

Position Summary / 18-40 hours per week

  • Support Digital Services team at UWW to help implement quarterly campaigns via email, social media and Salesforce Philanthropy Cloud.
  •  Assist Digital Specialists in supporting local United Ways who are part of Digital Services, via bi-weekly 1:1 check-ins with the local United Ways.
  •  Aid in pulling data and analytics information for Digital Services local United Ways.

Primary Projects

  • Assist in sharing campaign content to local United Ways.
  • Sourcing relevant articles for local United Ways to share across social channels.
  • Develop training articles to assist local United Ways with Salesforce marketing platforms.

  • Interest in nonprofit sector with a background and/or knowledge of United Way Worldwide and our mission; Interest in learning about digital marketing strategies; Knowledge of email and social media marketing

8. Digital Services Intern, Salesforce Philanthropy Cloud

Position Summary / 18-40 hours per week

  • Support Digital Services team and local United Ways who are a part of Salesforce Philanthropy Cloud.
  • Engage with local United Ways for SPC support by providing recommendations, guidance and edits with volunteer and success story opportunities.

Primary Projects

  • Research, document, and draft content for United Way’s Salesforce Philianthropy Cloud (SPC).
  • Work with local United Ways to revise and edit submissions – both graphic and text - for SPC.
  • Help provide training and onboarding documentation to new local United Ways on the SPC platform.

Required Qualifications/Skills

  • Experience with journalism, communications, marketing, or other relevant field; Interest in learning about digital marketing strategies; Can-do attitude and willingness to work with different UWW staffers and teams.

9. Donor Communications and Stewardship Intern

Position Summary / 20-37 hours per week

Our team's intern would be expected to take on parts of meaningful projects or whole projects that relate to our 2020 donor stewardships efforts, with a particular focus on our external communications. Job responsibilities would include:

  • Create and update external-facing marketing materials such as custom impact reports, stewardship reports, acknowledgement and thank you letters, and so forth
  • Write, edit or review recurring external communications, such as newsletters and donor journeys.
  • Support efforts in positioning and communicating strategies and products with existing and potential partners.
  • Collaborate with team members to generate ideas on enhancing donor recognition efforts. Conduct research on competitors’ best practices as needed.

  • GCL & IDAG newsletters and other recurring donor communications

  • One-off donor communications projects (i.e. reviewing content for email series, research on industry standards, etc)

10. Foundation Research Intern

Position Summary / 20 hours per week

The Intern - Foundation will research relationships that private foundations have with United Ways to inform future outreach. This will involve independent online research into foundation giving as well as occasional phone or email outreach to United Ways. The final product will be reports and summaries to be used by United Way Worldwide. Additional duties will include updating current tools and resources in an online content library.

11. Fundraising Enablement Intern

Position Summary / 20 hours per week

  • Create and update internal project Management tracking tools
  • Support efforts in project Management of timely production and execution of donor and Network-related programs and events

12. Grant Operations Intern

Position Summary / 15-20 hours per week

This internship position reports to the Senior Director, Enablement on the Investor Relations team. This position will focus on the formalization and institutionalization of an organization wide grants performance and reporting process as well as support impact reporting efforts for our international grants. This includes working directly with the Sr. Director, Enablement as well as various stakeholders across Investor Relations and UWW to enhance and finalize the processes. Once finalized, the intern will lead the creation of training materials and support the logistics involved in provided organization wide training, as needed.

Primary Projects

  • Identify opportunities to enhance international grant impact reporting
  • Align international grant impact reporting with specific organizational records in salesforce
  • Craft donor facing international impact reports as needed
  • Assist with the development and enhancement of monthly and quarterly performance dashboards
  • Support logistics for facilitating UWW wide training sessions for UWW grants process

13. Graphic Design Creative Studio Intern

Position Summary / 37.5 hours per week

To support the Creative Studio Team (CST) with internal clients on a variety of design projects that may include:

  • Events, unitedway.org website, network toolkits, social media, etc.
  • Intern will refine their design skills and learn hands-on about graphic design, video production and digital development in a fast-paced environment.

14. Impact and Results Intern

Position Summary / 20 hours per week

The Intern, Impact and Results will support the Impact Team's Global Results Framework effort to share aggregated data with corporate partners. This includes inputting data in custom snapshots, updating global and national statistics to accompany snapshots, and supporting communications. The Intern for Impact and Results will provide communications and planning support for UWW's partnership with the National Campaign for Grade Level Reading in support of the Campaign for Grade Level Reading Week convening in mid-July. 

The intern will also provide planning, tracking, and communications in support of UWW's partnership with Scholastic to distribute books as part of a summer reading campaign. The intern will also provide support for other Impact Team projects and initiatives, as necessary.

15. Innovation Journalist Intern (PAID)

Position Summary / 20 hours per week

The Innovation Journalist will be responsible for writing 10+ about United Way innovations. These case studies will form the core content for the digital United Way social innovation library which will go live October 2020.Responsibilities:

  • Set up time for a one-hour interview with relevant United Way staff. Conduct and record the interview. (UWW will provide the list of United Ways and their innovation work, make introductions, and provide zoom platform to do the recording.)
  • Write draft case studies of around 2000 words in accordance with UWW guide and submit to the case study United Way for timely approval.
  • Work with UWW to procure from the United Way collateral related to the case study – check lists, project plans, budgets, photos, etc.

Primary Projects

The United Way Worldwide (UWW) Innovation team drives the development of innovative solutions that draw on diverse voices to accelerate the impact United Way makes in communities, with a particular focus on data and technology. We collaborate with, and accelerate the work of, social innovators – United Way staff, business leaders, nonprofits, communities, and other partners. The case studies will form the core content of a digital United Way social innovation library which will go live October 2020. The purpose of the case studies is to facilitate adoption by United Ways of promising practices and lessons learned to promote efficiencies and avoid pitfalls in innovation.

Required Qualifications/Skills

  • Experience conducting interviews over the phone and recording them using Zoom; Excellent writing and communications skills – three writing samples required; Proficient in Microsoft Word and Office, especially Outlook; Strong project and time management; Experience with nonprofits a plus

16. International Finance & Accounting Intern

Position Summary / 28-35 hours per week

  • International accounting process analysis
  • Collecting and analyzing financial data related to the network.
  • Assisting with the analysis of audited financial statements and non-audited international network financial data; understanding of math, excel, and standard analysis functions required.

Primary Projects

The primary task of this intern position will be helping the United Way Worldwide analyze existing financial data & processes and assist the Director of International Accounting & Compliance to analyze and develop resources and solutions to common problems affecting NGO’s operating in multiple geographies. May also assist in the analysis of the financial health of international United Way organizations and develop resources for the ongoing monitoring of NGO financial and organizational health transnationally.

Required Qualifications/Skills

The intern is expected to have a background and interest in finance, economics, accounting, business administration or related fields, demonstrate exemplary skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications/Skills

Ability to speak a second language highly preferred.

17. International Network Engagement Intern

Position Summary / 15, 37.5 preferred per week

The Intern will be a part of the International Network Operations & Engagement Team, whose overarching objective is to support our regional offices and teams to enable United Ways across the globe to more fully realize a shared mission and goals by leveraging support (resources, people, and info) both from United Way Worldwide (UWW) and from within the network itself. While reporting to the IN-Operations Manager, this intern position will help the IN-Vice President and other team members on projects.

Primary Projects

  • Story lead identification via social media platforms and local United Way websites.
  • Creating stories from social media leads.
  • Building an inventory of int’l UWs websites & social media sites region-by-region.
  • Securing media (photo or video for which have permission to share) to accompany the “stories from the field”
  • Template Creation.
  • General research and analysis of current organizations, philanthropic environments, and other metrics; understanding the basics in collecting data and researching techniques required.

18. International Network Operations Intern

Position Summary / 30 hours per week

The Intern will be a part of the International Network Operations & Engagement Team, whose overarching objective is to support our regional offices and teams to enable United Ways across the globe to more fully realize a shared mission and goals by leveraging support (resources, people, and info) both from United Way Worldwide (UWW) and from within the network itself. While reporting to the IN-Membership & Operations Director, this intern position will help the IN-Vice President and other team members on projects.

Primary Projects

  • United Way Worldwide Information Gateway (UWWIG) data collection from 35 international partners.
  • Assist with weekly communications and monitoring of progress.
  • Liaise with multiple departments to ensure survey reflects the needs of all parties. Present findings to the team.
  • Review membership requirements and provide trainings to local United Ways as needed.
  • Identify your own project that links your interests with needs on the team.

19. Major Donors Intern

Position Summary / 30 hours per week

The Intern will be a part of the Investor Relations/Major Donor Team, whose objective is to enable United Ways across the region to more fully realize our shared mission and goals by leveraging support (resources, people, and info) both from United Way Worldwide (UWW) and from within the network itself. During the internship, the intern is scheduled to meet with United Way staff in multiple departments including public policy and advocacy, international fundraising, international network, human trafficking, marketing, research, and other areas. This provides a significant opportunity to conduct internal networking and career information gathering.

Primary Projects

  • Support work of the nationally trademarked Tocqueville Society
  • Review and update the Major Donor Resource Center (web based) and all related major donor pages to update content, ensure consistency, capture best practices and ensure all relevant documents are branded and well presented
  • Participate in the Roundtable on Philanthropy event with items such as marketing, outreach, logistics and turn-key process
  • Assist the Major Donor team with multiple projects related to expanding fundraising in the United Way network
  • Potentially work on special projects on the following topics:
    • International/Regional Major Gift process and/or analysis
    • United Way Planned Giving Work
  • Potentially conduct research into several areas supporting the “Bold Play” initiatives
  • Attend UWW training: Introduction to United Way
  • Work with the team in the Alexandria office to support their development/fundraising initiatives

  • Must have strong project management, technology and communication skills along with being detail oriented; Ability to multi-task.  Must be able to work both independently and as part of a team; Must be flexible and comfortable in a fast-paced environment; Selection will be based on project delivery experience, GPA/academic achievement, extracurricular/civic activities, and strong interest in a potential career in the nonprofit industry, especially in fundraising/development; Strong working knowledge of all Microsoft Suite of products, specifically, Excel and PowerPoint; Willingness to protect confidential donor information and to sign a non-disclosure agreement before internship commences. 

20.  Marketing & Event Production Intern

Position Summary / 20-30 hours per week

This role is a multi-faceted one, responsible for development and implementation of marketing and advertising for L&C products (courses, conferences, etc.), the design and delivery of key deliverables and ensuring alignment with brand and content

Primary Projects

  • Marketing research analysis
  • Cataloging multimedia assets from conferences and events
  • Building and curating a library of slides that can be used across events
  • Researching and proposing new marketing channels for our products
  • Assistance in copy writing and editing
  • Researching and proposing best practices in sustainability and inclusivity in event production
  • Assist with analysis of evaluation data and creating digestible reporting format

21. Marketing Intern

Position Summary / 20-30 hours per week

Join the Diversity & Inclusion team as we make the United Way network a more equitable, fair, and just organization. You will work with a team on both long-term and short-term projects and be able to make lasting change. The Diversity & Inclusion department focuses both on the internal operations and external operations of United Ways across the United States. This intern primary responsibility will be projects in support of the DEI team's flagship learning opportunity our 2020 Equity Summit in Baltimore, Maryland.

Primary Projects

  • Assist in the planning and coordination the 3rd annual United Way Equity Summit
  • Draft and publish communications for the United Way Equity Summit
  • Assist in equity training for 50-100 United Way Worldwide staff members
  • Research and update existing policies, manuals, and guides for the United Way network
  • Draft communications to update internal and external stakeholders related to Diversity & Inclusion work

We’re looking for an intern who can help support the future of our organization by working with our Europe & Middle East team to collect data and present it in attractive formats to a diverse range of audiences. The intern will work with the Europe & Middle East Regional Office staff, as well as with the International Team staff based in US, to support United Way’s content creation, management and measurement activities.

  • Assist with developing social content for partners

23. People Engagement Intern

Position Summary / 20-30 hours per week

Are you interested in learning about employees can thrive in healthy organizations? The People Engagement team is seeking an intern to help us in engaging the 200+ staff within our organization. The intern will be provided with hands-on projects and shadowing opportunities in a national nonprofit headquarters.

  • Internship Program Support
    • Research, develop, and record best-practices for supervisors and interns
    • Assist with learning and professional development for staff
    • Talent development pipeline tracking for interns
    • Storytelling project; intern voices and impact
    • Craft master year-long calendar
  • Staff engagement events and activities
    • Support volunteer opportunities for UWW staff
    • Event support such as the summer BBQ
    • Service recognition awards support
    • Coordinating logistics for staff engagement processes (reservations, orders, materials, etc.)
    • Building Web pages for staff engagement resources

24. Public Policy and Advocacy Intern

Position Summary / 18 hours per week
The Public Policy and Advocacy Intern will be responsible for supporting the United Way Worldwide public policy team in advancing United Way’s national policy priorities in the areas of health, education, financial stability and community strengthening. They will collaborate with the public policy team to support state and local United Ways in their federal advocacy efforts and support the team in communicating policy priorities to congressional members. The intern will have opportunities to participate in a range of projects including but not limited to in-person and digital trainings for the United Way network, development of issue-specific toolkits, and visits to Capitol Hill.

Primary Projects

  • Assist the Public Policy Team with logistics and operations of annual advocacy training and Capitol Hill Day.
  • Assist with the creation of materials to support local United Ways with voter engagement campaigns
  • Collaborate on updating and digitizing advocacy training materials and handbooks into an online learning platform.
  • Develop materials to support local United Ways with in-district engagements with their elected officials during August Recess.

Required Qualifications/Skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Strong research skills; Organized and detail-oriented; Quick learner, with a can-do attitude; Strong teamwork skills to see a project to completion

Preferred Qualifications/Skills

  • Interest or coursework in public policy strongly preferred; Experience using social media for advocacy campaigns or professional work including student organizations preferred but not required

25. Sales Operations Technology Intern

Position Summary / 15 hours per week
The Digital Services/SPC Intern will support the Digital Services team in a variety of areas including data management, prospect research and outreach for Salesforce Philanthropy Cloud and aiding the increase in CRM usage by the local United Way affiliates. This position will also have the opportunity to work across our broader Digital Services, Corporate Relations, Strategic Partnerships, Cause Marketing and US Network teams.

Primary Projects

  • Prospect research and pipeline tracking within CRM
  • Analyze current CRM usage and help develop strategy for making shared CRM primary source of donor info for United Way
  • Provide data management support for Digital Services
  • Develop strong relationships with internal stakeholders and work across teams to direct projects and update project timelines as needed

Required Qualifications/Skills

  • Interest in non-profit or mission driven work; Experience in sales strategy and technology with strong analytical skills preferred; Able to work both independently and collaboratively with a team

Preferred Qualifications/Skills

  • Experience with and understanding of CRM technology a plus; Strong time management and ability to meet deadlines; Strong teamwork skills to see a project to completion

26. Social Media Intern

Position Summary / 15-24 hours per week
The Intern will support the Digital Services team in a variety of areas including social media marketing, data analytics and account management. This intern will work closely with United Way staff in the Digital Services department to perform such tasks as managing United Way's social community, sourcing articles and creating new content to share across United Way Worldwide social properties.

Primary Projects

  • Work across United Way departments to improve marketing strategy and outreach
  • Develop processes and strategies for generating content that captures United Way’s work from around the globe
  • Support in gathering data via Social Studio

Required Qualifications/Skills

  • In-depth working knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube and TikTok.
  • Interest in learning about digital marketing strategies including social media, email, and advertising.
  • Background in communications, graphic design, marketing, and/or computer science a plus but not required
  • Organized, creative, and analytical thinker
  • Strong teamwork skills to see a project to completion

Preferred Qualifications/Skills

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; Experience with social media analytics, including Google Analytics and Facebook Insights; Experience using social media management tools (ex: Hootsuite, Buffer, Social Studio, etc); Experience in Adobe creative suite (ex: Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere Pro, Illustrator); Experience with Salesforce tools, particularly Social Studio; Professional experience managing social channels for company, nonprofit, club, group, etc.

27. Strategic Communications, Content, and Analytics Intern

Position Summary / 15 hours per week
United Way's Communications team is looking for an intern who can help support the building for the future of our organization. As we continue to expand our digital and social presence across multiple platforms, we are looking for someone to help create content for a variety of audiences (internal, network partners, donors, etc.). This intern will work closely with the Communications team to develop this content and measure its performance.

Primary Projects

  • Work with the Communications team to measure and analyze the performance of digital content – including blogs, web page content and updates.
  • Assist with developing website content, social content for partners, and email communication to donors
  • Analyze data from United Way’s public website, social, and newsletter creating a database of performance indicators
  • Review and update marketing and communications toolkits
  • Work with the communications team to create, design images and craft messages for United Way Worldwide staff to be used across employee communication platforms, including employee intranet
  • Assist with the development of a social plan for United Way

28. Tool Development Improvement and Distribution Intern

Position Summary / 37.5 hours per week
Work with cross-functional teams to help shape the development, marketing, and distribution of critical United Way Worldwide learning assets, resources, and tools to support United Ways in their transformation to a modern United Way.   • Gather feedback from potential users of learning tools to ensure their effectiveness

  • Draft compelling marketing messages for new tools and resources.
  • Post new tools on the United Way Worldwide Intranet (United Way Online)
  • Improve upon current United Way Online pages and help to design appealing graphics • Help to create a method to track use of tools and other success measures
  • Adapt marketing and distribution strategies to improve uptake.
  • Participate in and help coordinate calls and webinars with UWs

  • Good communicator and collaborator; Strong writing abilities; Graphic design skills; Experience with PowerPoint, Microsoft OneDrive or Office Products

29. Transportation Access Program Intern - 211 Team

Position Summary / 20 hours per week
The 211 team at United Way Worldwide (211 UWW Team) provides coordination at the national level to a diverse network of over 200 211s teams across the country. 211 is a vital community service accessed by millions of Americans every year. People call 211 for help with a wide range of social services and resources, including food, housing, utilities payment assistance, health care, transportation, childcare, employment opportunities, mental health crises, disaster information and assistance, and more.

Ride United is a transportation access initiative that leverages the strength of United Ways, the 211 network and partners to address unmet transportation needs for individuals and families across the U.S. The 211 UWW Team is seeking an intern to support the growth of the Ride United Program, through conducting research, drafting policy recommendations and building out program tools and resources. Essential

Responsibilities:

Currently more than 25 local teams implement the Ride United Program, mostly through a partnership with Lyft that enables them to provide ride dispatching to clients, but additionally (and as a growing part of the program), through additional partners like DoorDash – where deliveries can support families in need with good and services.

Primary Projects

Project work will include, but will not be limited to:

  • Support the enhancement of a 3 year Strategic Plan for Ride United: conducting research of innovative solutions addressing transportation access - seeking programs, policy and partnerships that can help bolster the growing list of local innovation and tactics that will build a robust program
  • Oversee the creation of Client Journey Maps for 11 local teams currently participating in a grant funded project for Ride United –includes conducting summary data analysis of local team data, working with the UWW marketing team/designer to create each journey map, creating a template for future use and sharing the resources via the Ride United resource toolkit
  • Supporting partnership and development efforts to secure grants, contracts, and funding by conducting research, surveys, etc.
  • Create and send monthly Ride United project summary reports for major donors (using existing template)
  • Support local United Way and 211 network inquiries regarding Ride United onboarding, training, implementation and administration - using the program FAQ guide and helping field general questions and access to resources. Proactively supplement these resources as needed.

Required Qualifications/Skills

  • Specific interest and study/work experience in the area of transportation access solutions; Policy/program research and analysis; Ability to communicate effectively and articulate problem statements and solutions• Ability to work both as a member of a team and independently; Strong problem-solving skills with a demonstrated background or interest in creating new, effective solutions and processes; Previous experience with documenting or developing internal processes and protocols for effective implementation

Preferred Qualifications/Skills

Prior knowledge and use of Microsoft Excel desired

30. Volunteer Engagement Intern

Position Summary / 20-40 hours per week

The Volunteer and Employee Engagement team at United Way Worldwide is seeking an intern to assist in coordinating corporate volunteer engagement opportunities as well as developing various resources and tools to be used by United Ways across the network. They'll be involved in corporate research, volunteer project testing and assisting with events such as Day of Action and the Strategic Volunteer Engagement Summit, among other duties.

Primary Projects

  • Collect and organize both corporate and international research findings related to volunteerism.
  • Work with the Volunteer and Employee Engagement team on corporate engagement opportunities (i.e., proposal development, volunteer project research, supporting Global Results Framework)
  • Research volunteer project ideas and develop a library of examples to be utilized across the United Way network
  • Assist with United Way events (i.e., Strategic Volunteer Engagement Summit and Day of Action)

Required Qualifications/Skills

  • Excellent writing, editing and proofing skills; Requires organizational and research skills; Attention to detail; Quick-learner with a can-do attitude; Strong teamwork skills to see a project to completion
