SUMMARY OF POSITION: The individual in this position must be an energetic fundraiser responsible for maximizing giving growth through a concerted effort to establish and grow meaningful relationships with company leadership, key influencers / stakeholders and priority donors in order to retain our current donor base and develop new business and new donor relationships.. A key responsibility of the position is developing and executing the annual workplace campaigns for the public and private sectors and individual donor engagement including donors outside the traditional workplace.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
•Passionate about UWMC’s mission.
•Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of two years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of educationand experience.
•Proven track record of qualifying, cultivating, soliciting/closing, and stewarding annual and major gifts whilebuilding and sustaining relationships with volunteers, donors, and prospects.
•Superb skills in convening groups and relationship building.
•Strong organizational and written, verbal, and listening communication skills.
•High level of computer proficiency.
•Valid Drivers License.
•Excellent problem-solving skills, research skills, and ability to follow through.
•Capable of handling multiple projects with competing priorities.
•Ability to meet deadlines while anticipating quickly changing needs.
•Attention to detail and accuracy.
•Work both independently and as a collaborative team member.
•High level of integrity, sound judgement, and decision-making ability.
•Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality, a professional demeanor, and to represent the organizationin a positive manner always.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB 1.Implement action steps needed to engage accounts on a year-round basis and to secure additional financial supportfor United Way.2.Identify, cultivate, retain, and develop donor prospects in and out of the workplace.3.Facilitate workplace campaigns and related events from start to finish4.Establish and strengthen relationships with donors, employers, and the community to build donor loyalty,raise/leverage resources, and ensure a positive brand experience with United Way.5.Develop and maintain quality relationships to establish a large, committed volunteer base who support UnitedWay.
6.Effective and efficient management of a portfolio of accounts generating annual contributions to meet or exceed organizational revenue goals.7.Provide progress reports to the Board of Directors on a monthly basis on campaign and program KPI’s.8.Seek out new individual and workplace relationships within the service area to grow resources for United Way and the community.9.Plan and execute events for workplace campaigns, affinity groups, and any other United Way event as needed10.Cultivate and manage ongoing relationships with current and prospective donors11.Provide ongoing and timely donor recognition and appreciation12.Assist UWMC Resource Development Committee with the recruitment, training, and engagement of volunteers to support annual campaigns.13.Maintain account updates and adds new entries in UWMC Donation Tracker14.Managing and updating a relationship database of current and potential donors15.Provide regular activity status, update projections regarding campaign goals.16.Convene staff and volunteers to drive the execution of their plan and manage the action steps and results from these efforts.17.Track revenue generation, retention, visits, and key business activity on a monthly basis providing activity status to Development Manager and Executive Director.18.Coordinate materials needed for workplace campaigns19.Participate in community activities which contribute to the acquisition and retention of individual donors.20.Provides administrative backup to all front desk functions.

Work Environment: This position typically works in an office setting with a controlled temperature environment.
Equipment: This position is required to maintain a working knowledge of all office equipment including personal computers and printers, telephone systems, copiers, etc.
Hours: This position typically works a full time schedule Monday-Friday between the hours of 8:00 am and 5:00 pm. Position requires flexibility to work weekends and evenings depending on events and may exceed the normal work week hours listed. Hours may be adjusted as per the Executive Director during high production times or tight project deadlines.
Physical Demands: Must be able to sit for long periods of time. Must be able to stand, climb stairs, walk, lift, carry, bend, and stoop. Must be able to perform fine motor skills. Hearing and visual ability required to read handwritten and/or typed documents, computer screens, etc. and answer telephone calls. Ability to drive from place to place.
